Dad goes to Bill gates.

Bill Gates : No
Dad : My son is the CEO of World Bank 
Bill Gates : Then OK

Dad goes to President of World Bank
Dad : Appoint my son as CEO of your bank. 
President : No
Dad : He is the son-in-law of Bill Gates.

Now, I must say... this particular dad definitely must be a smart businessman. LOL!

Maybe it's time to get off Facebook?

I'm sure many of us or if you're reading this, you probably have a Facebook account! Am I right or am I right? How much time do you spend on it? How many times do you check your Facebook like you would open the door of your fridge in hopes of seeing something new in it? 

Do you realize that you spend more time being on Facebook than actually having a conversation with your friend? How often do you find yourself out with a group of friends and a majority of them are on Facebook through their phone?

Have you tried going cold turkey without it? I HAVE. ONCE. Some 3 years ago. I just went on a hiatus. Forced myself to stay away from the PC. It was for a duration of 3 months. For that 3 months, I didn't get updates. I didn't know what my friends were up to. Basically, just way out of the scene and out of date.

Are we that addicted to it? Facebook started in 2004 and it's now 2012. That's 8 years on and we've not outgrown it. Instead, more and more others are getting on board. Spending more time looking at a screen than at a person! Do we need to get off Facebook? Would we get Facebook withdrawal syndrome?

Malaysian Chinese?

We are Malaysians of China origin.
Not Chinese from China.
Not Chinese from Taiwan.

Yes, we do work hard. Very hard.
We work many hours and skip lunch.
We have no time off for tea, prayers, etc.
We go back late, take lower pay but when we get our bonuses we deserve it.

We can't say that for others though.
I have seen other colleagues, who take tea time, share fashion ideas, sell Cosway and Avon plus a host of other things during office hours.
More medical leave than most of us.
Fridays we work throughout lunch to get work done due to lack of time put in by the others.

So what's this?
Chinese are rich?
Some are, but not all.
Now you see who owns the best houses and drive the better cars.
They are NOT CHINESE.

Who buys more gold and jewelry?
NOT THE CHINESE.

Who takes more international holidays?
NOT THE CHINESE.

Who has scholarships easily?
NOT THE CHINESE.

Who fails exams and takes them again and again?
NOT THE CHINESE.

Who are those not paying the PTPTN Loans?
NOT THE CHINESE?

Who are CEOS of banks and big companies?
NOT THE CHINESE.

Who gets overseas scholarships, at less A's?
NOT THE CHINESE.

I have a long list...
But the answer is NOT THE CHINESE.

Are we envious of others?
NOT THE CHINESE.

We work harder.
Or we go out of the country that does not value us.
And we get better recognition elsewhere due to meritocracy.
Who is sinking the country?
NOT THE CHINESE.

Memories of....

Memories, we've all got them. Good or bad, happy and sad. But which of the memories do you keep close to you? Though, some say.. it is always best to leave the memories behind. Because sometimes, it is the memories that's holding you back from your future. Easier said than done always though.

How many of you remember you first love and the memories of them? Or that one person who was in your life and then disappears leaving you wondering? Here's a short skit my friends came up with. Highly recommended. I still get goosebumps whenever I watch til the end. LOL! Enjoy!

The Problem with Earphones

I've always had a pair of earphones with me since high school. It started with a Sony Walkman --> Discman --> Mp3 player on handphone. I'm normally with my earphones especially if I'm alone or even at work. Because music keeps my brain safe. LOL! But anyhoo, I would always have the detangling problem.

 Then I saw this on 9GAG!!

BUT! The time it takes me to loop the cords around...... MEH! 

Gonna stick to chucking my earphones in my bag. =P
