Cinco de Mayo Celebration with Corona Extra @ Las Carretas, Ampang

Cinco de Mayo is a celebration by the Mexican for 5th of May which commemorates the cause of freedom and democracy during the first years of the American Civil War. Here in Malaysia, it was celebrated in Las Carretas, Ampang with Corona Extra as their sponsor! It was a full fledge feista with Mexican food and Mexican activities!

- it gives out a warm burning sensation when eaten!

- seriously a must try dish! 
- it was so damn good that we had 2 portions of it!
- the soup taste so good you wanna lick the bowl!

- tortilla filled with a savory mixture containing cheese!
- yummilicious veggie filled dish!

Nyonya & Local Penang Cuisine @ THE WOK CAFE

If you have been to Hot Wok Nyonya & Local Cuisine in Penang, you should make your way to The Wok Cafe in Kota Damansara for a super authentic Penang meal time! Though maybe just a bit far but very worth it for your tummy and pocket! =P

First to come out of the kitchen was Prawn Mee .
I can honestly tell you, if this was how real Penang Prawn Mee taste, I would have loved it long time ago. 
I had Penang Prawn Mee in Penang and I didnt like the one I had last year. 
The broth was amazingly sweet and spicy.

Curry Mee came second.
I am not a big fan of Curry Mee but this tasted ok to me. 
Though must remember to add the chili boh into it to get the kick from the broth!

Autenthic Penang Char Kuey Teow!!
Must have! Beats waiting two hours for the Sisters Char Kueh Tiaw @ Lorong Selamat, Penang!

This is a traditional home cook dish.
My dad cooks this when he's in a better mood.
The Wok has it a bit more sweeter instead of runny soup like.

Normally, its just all the jellies/corns/beans with ice.

I've never had this before.
It was sticky and for a dessert maybe not my kind.

Funny funky taste.
Didnt think it was Nangka at first. LOL!

Sago Durian - RM 7.00
Hoho! This must be new cause I've never seen anyone use Durian like this!
Nonetheless, something different to try!! =P
