Hanging Out in March

Friday, April 30, 2010
Back in March, I had a fun time hanging out with quite a number of people. After working for the Star Launch Week at the Spring, I had so much time to kill.

Spent non-alcoholic time with buddies....

Cheesie and Jaclyn came down to Kuching for the Pullman Official Opening.
Took them out to see
Kenny's gym and around the Main Bazaar area for some tourist stuff.

Went back to school in a Lounge with alcohol! LoL!

Best friend so happy. LOL! tsk tsk... LOL! cheesy smile... eee...

Terre & Mer by Thalgo

Saturday, April 24, 2010

Two Saturdays ago, Sarawak Bloggers were invited to attend the Press Conference and Beauty Seminar on Terre & Mer. We had much fun listening and understanding what Terre & Mer is about and what benefits it brings.

Short introduction by the PR exec

Registration before the press conference

Let me introduce to you what Terre & Mer is. Terre & Mer is a range of skincare products by Thalgo. This skincare range has ingredients from the Mediterranean sea and plant life. Terre & Mer is all about Organic beauty. Thalgo products adhere to the product quality certifications and is eco-friendly. Terre & Mer contains no artificial colourings or fragrances. Nawael Merechal, the speaker for the Beauty Seminar
She gave an extremely thorough explanation on the Terre & Mer products.

gotta love the product placement!

can I be that lady??
I want the massage!! =P

the final process after the facial treatment:
peeling off the mask!

Happy me with Terre & Mer goodie bag~!

this whole pack became my travel pack during my trip to KL last week!

The goody bag included:-
  1. Marine Cleanser
  2. Marine Tonic Lotion
  3. Marine Scrub
  4. Vital Fluid
  5. Vital Cream
  6. Soothing Concentrate
  7. Anti-ageing Concentrate
During my trip in KL, I was using the Marine cleanser, toner, scrub and soothing concentrate. My take on the few products that I was using is that, the cleanser is a bit on the soft side. It is actually more suitable for Winter climates and a more mature skin as it is moisturising. The toner was really effective in taking off stubborn make-up. The scrub was my saviour! I needed a scrub to exfoliate during my week in KL.

Last but not least, the soothing concentrate was amazing because I woke up with super relax glowing skin instead of dry, peeling skin. Staying in air conditioned room every night can sure kill your skin.

Terre & Mer by Thalgo products can be found at Allunique on Rock Road. Here are some of the services that is provided at their beauty centres! If you feel like pampering yourself, you should head down to the centre for a quick fix! =P

Thats all for Thalgo!
Dont hesitate to ask me any questions.
I dont mind to share the products with you too, if you wanna try! =)

Backs.....

Tuesday, April 20, 2010
Hullo.... me is back in Kuching. Exhausted max. Legs sore to the max. Every muscle in my body is sore. LOL! But feeling damn great. Today I had breakfast in Johor, lunch in KL, dinner on the plane, supper in Kuching... damn funny, right? Talk about the travelling, man! LOL! Was so tired practically slept like a baby on the plane. Which got me thinking... KL is just an hour and half sleep away on a plane. =P

Will update soon! Super tired. Gotta work tomorrow and the next 7 days! So clever me.. but seriously, doing events here in Kuching compared to West Malaysia?? We're freaking underpaid lots! Super more worth it to be doing events in West Malaysia. Bleh.. but its still a job and its still money too. Time to go! Tata~ Lets see if the line, "its good to be back" would come out from me. LOL!

1 hour

Monday, April 12, 2010
I have just 1 more hour to my first job interview here in KL. I know 1 hour is just about the time where I should be on my way to the place but I am actually just 10minutes away from the place. I am contemplating now if I should walk or take a taxi there. I had Sushi for breakfast and Miso soup. Somehow I don't have the appetite to eat. I think my tummy is doing the butterfly thing where I am nervous. I have another interview at 2.30pm later in which I seriously have no idea where the place is and it is not 10minutes away. I think its about 20-25 minutes away. Does it get jam here during lunch hour? Because if that is the case, I would be in quite a lot of trouble.

Thank goodness I brought my laptop with me. I get free Internet access here anytime of the day. The only thing I wish I had now is Google Maps on iPhone. Cant believe I'm saying this but.. for the first time, I want an iPhone but only for the Google Maps application. Hahha! Time to run!! Wish me luck!!

Update: Interview lasted 5 minutes. All in all I needed to be only for 10minutes. Brrr.. but the lady liked me. LOL! She actually likes my work experiences. Bla and Bla. She wants me to come back see her big boss this Friday. Right... and instead of taking a taxi. I walked back... and TADA I didn't get lost but.. I'm so hot now, I don't wanna wear anything!! Ugh!! Shower time! Weee~!

the Hypocrite

Friday, April 09, 2010
hypocrite - a person who professes beliefs and opinions that he or she does not hold in order to conceal his or her real feelings or motives

Tarot card reading: 22 May 2009

Upclose... read it carefully

I've met the mother of all hypocrites! LoL! I was actually warned about the Hypocrite 2 weeks before I met the person! Damn true lo the warning. Creepy and yet fascinating. Unfortunately, I didn't know that this Hypocrite was 'the Hypocrite' that was warned by the card. It was not until into the 3rd month of knowing this person that my group realized that this particular person was starting to show signs of it. From here onwards, 'the Hypocrite' will be known as the 'H'.

the 'H' started talking to me and Y about X and how he's unhappy which in my opinion is based on his possessive and controlling feelings. That was just the STRIKE ONE. We're fine. Maybe this person was just being overly sensitive and didn't watch the words used. (We're not horribly strict people, we do give some space for errors and mistakes.) After, we brushed that matter off, the next few weeks... this person went to X and Y to talk about me. Small matter, hence I let it pass. Kinda like changed target. STRIKE TWO.

STRIKE THREE was on Y. The one whom this person was supposedly quite close to. Due to jealousy and possessiveness, this person started backstabbing even Y to X and me. I mean if Y also kena, who will ever be safe from the 'H' wrath? We started moving away from the 'H' when we start realizing 'H' was being a maxi Hypocrite. We were still being polite and acknowledging 'H' at that point. I gather that he suffers from PMS. Hence, the yoyo problem when it comes to people around him.

How do I put it? Mmmm.. people in my group, we've known each other for years and we accept each other for who they are and what they do. We didn't mind including this person but this person started playing the poison game on us. Who would we trust? Someone we just knew or the people we've known for years? Of course, we're sceptical having someone new who goes around poisoning each of us.

You would think that it would stop at STRIKE THREE after we start moving away from 'H'? LoL! Think again. STRIKE FOUR happened! LoL! This time it was so ridiculous beyond any crazy ideas that word got out to the most unexpected person, M. Imagine! I had to hear it from M first! Of all people. To put the record straight, M does not even run with our group. Total outsider coming to warn me about something ridiculous he heard from the mouth of 'H'. (M never liked 'H' anyway. 'H' bitched about M before in the most infamous way ever.) That was it, I was going '???' ? Wassup? It was rather ridiculous. I was laughing when I heard what 'H' was complaining about.

X came all the way to my house after midnight to tell me what he heard from 'H' and how ridiculous he thought it was too. I was actually so touched because X was so angry and fuming when he told me! He was like, "He can go say anything about anyone, I don't care! But not you! He bloody hell don't even know shit about you! What he said about you is totally out of the line now! He has already done a merry-go-round with us. This is it. I cannot put up with him and his insecurities. Who does he think he is playing this game on us?" I had to calm X down and told him I'm ok with 'H' talking shit about me. 'H' talks shit about everyone even his own relatives. (to make matters worse, his own relatives know that he backstabs. Damn sad, right? until your own blood related people cant even trust you.)

a diagram to give you a better understanding...

But really, after that incident... you really know who to trust and who not to trust. I was warned about 'H' by the card first. After that, I was warned by a few others who knew 'H' before I did and all of them was backstabbed before by 'H'. But being the rebel that I am, I always prefer to get to know a person for who the person really is over listening to what others say. I believe that if the person really is what people say, the true colours will show eventually. I guess, everyone was right about 'H', he really is what everyone says him to be. Now that is what I call, LIVING UP TO EXPECTATIONS. Haha!

After that, us - being X, Y and myself... we all started doing our own thing again. Once awhile we meet up to catch up. We're cool like that. We know that we all have our own life and coming together once awhile is a bonus. =) 'H' was eventually left out most of the time cause we also started having a lot of activities of our own which 'H' was not involved in and its not like we can just invite 'H' to come every time cause it was not our own plans.

I eventually ignored 'H' at the most maximum level too. It annoyed him a lot. I really just don't have much to say to a Hypocrite. You just never know how to trust a person like that once you know what tendencies they have (like turn around like a snake and bite). I don't pretend well and I can't fake friendly well. So, the most I can do is ignore a person. It is less damaging to the person and myself. I hate pretending. Its disgusting. Oh, 'H' is the masters of all pretenders. LoL!

At one point, 'H' was talking about everybody! Hahaha! Amazing. I mean.. is your life that boring that you have to talk about people's life and make up stories based on your own theories? Instead of watching people live their life, why don't you live your own life? Dude? '

'H' has always been complaining about all the bloggers who gila fame and glamour. How he finds them so ridiculous, prancing around seeking for attention with their DSLR cameras. He was also laughing so much about how when these bloggers go partying, they dont know how to party at all!

Guess what 'H' is doing this particular moment? Haha!.... Did you guess it yet? Its easy. Formula of a Hypocrite. He's now all chummy chum chum with all the bloggers that he criticizes and laughs about. Amazing, yea? Cause no one is giving him the attention that he wants now, hence he seeks it from the people he criticizes and laughs about? Damn sad, right this kind of person? No backbone, no proper principles. He lives by one principle that I can confirm though, 'the enemy of my enemy if my friend'. =)

All I can say is, I've met the MOTHER of all HYPOCRITES! LOL! It was a pleasure and roller coaster ride meeting you, 'H'. But I also wanna thank you for opening my eyes to a lot of the things around you and the people you talked about. You're the rotten tooth that needed to be taken out and thrown away. As the saying goes, throw out whatever that is rotten in your life. It is rotten, right? Why keep it? LoL!

I will not say who 'H'. No names shall be given out but only because I want everyone to know 'H' for who he really is. He will live up to my expectations, I am sure. =) I actually do hope he would continue being himself if that is what he wants to do. Wouldn't wish it any other way. It is also because of people like this that reminds us of what we should never be. A very good example.

I hope now you have an idea of what my definition of a Hypocrite is. =)
Watch out for those snakes around you! =P

Go Bald for a Good Cause!

Wednesday, April 07, 2010

You heard me. Go Bald! For a good cause! =) If I was still a student in University or taking a whole year off or a guy... I'd definitely go Bald for this! It'd be fun doing it together with all your friends and doing it for charity! Though, I think my mum would have a heart attack if I went home bald.... mmmm... Help kids fight Cancer!!

After a tremendously successful debut campaign, the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society is back with its second “Go Bald” event, to be held on May 16, 2010. Hair loss is the least physically harmful side effect of cancer treatment. However, it can also be the most traumatic, and a horrifying experience – especially for children. We want them to know that it’s just a temporary setback on the road to recovery.

Shaving our heads bald is a public show of solidarity with cancer patients and their families. More importantly, we can send a very powerful message to our children – that they do not have to be afraid. To show your support for these brave children, you can help to let people know about this event, raise money in donations for the SCCS, volunteer to have your head shaved, or any combination of the above.

the SCCS's goal this year, beyond raising awareness of childhood cancer and offering moral support, is to raise RM1 million for the construction of a new SCCS centre to provide an unprecedented level of care and support. Last year, they raised more than RM200,000 in pledges and donations. This time, they’ve set ourselves a much higher goal, and with your help they can succeed in making a priceless difference in the lives of children in need.

the proposed new SCCS centre

Are inspired yet to go BALD? No?!? I bet that you would look good! Young & hip! Check out that hunk from Prison Break, Wentworth Miller! or or that footballer... David Beckham! Ok.. Wentworth Miller wins hands down! David Beckham sure can kick balls better but who needs kicking balls when you've got the brains and tattoo like Wentworth Miller?? LOL!

What about the chicks? I'm a big fan of Scarlett Johansson and here is a picture of her bald! And to all you dudes who think bald chicks ain't hot... TELL ME IF MEGAN FOX STILL DOES NOT LOOK HOT HERE! LOL! You'd still want her in Jennifer's Body if she was bALD too! Hahaha! Right??

Ok Ok... Let's come back closer to home! Our very own, Kenny Sia went bald last year and managed to come up with a total donation of RM65,325.01 ! He surpassed his initial target of RM50,000.

checking himself out in the mirror...
i bet he's saying...
"looking good, hansome!"
hahaahahah!

If you ask me, I think there are a lot of good points to having your hair shaved off. =P
  1. Super easy to manage.
  2. Don't need to comb.
  3. Don't need to style.
  4. Save money on shampoo and hair products.
  5. Save time looking into the mirror checking your hair!
  6. Last but not least, create awareness for Childhood Cancer and giving moral support to them!
So what is stopping you from joining this fun event? Here are pictures from the Press Conference held a the Spring. 'Go Bald' campaign is sponsored by the Spring Shopping Mall, Cutting Edge, TruEvents, IVOQ and Studio Yolk.
