Brighton Beach

Thursday, July 31, 2008

Brighton beach is located somewhere along the Sandringham line. Technically it took us about 30 mins train ride to Brighton Beach in which with 3 person, we talked and laughed non-stop. I think other patrons of the train must think we are just too free.

Anyway, we arrived at Brighton Beach and my brother was showing off that the sand there is so much nicer than the sand in Damai, Kuching. Bla.. hahaha! It was just a totally different feeling to be at the beach during Winter. The breeze is just different. Not even a tinge of hot air. Just pure cool air. Combine that with sceneries like these!!

Look at the couple. I WANT THAT!!
So nice to be out there watching the waters with your other half!

Looks like a scene from one of those kung fu movie.

Ain't me! Who could it be? =P

GeesE!!

Bro trying to get as close as possible without scaring the geese away..

Trying to get more closer...

Touched!!!

L49.. they are labelled...

Running to toss me off!

That ain't me! haha!

Bath boxes! Lots of them in many different colours!

Cool yea??!

Funny..

Whose feet? Whose fingers?

Jellyfish!!

It moved!!!

ahhh!!!!!

The goose looking at the jellyfish...

Happy feet!! Hahaha!
We were expecting the goose to peck at the jellyfish but that didn't happen.

At the end of our beach trip. =)

A monument at the beach...

By the time we started going back, my feet was feeling so frozen. I remembered I started having a bit of flu. The consequences of going to the beach in Winter! But it was great! Totally different from the beaches I've been in Kuching. =) Hehe!

Happy?

Wednesday, July 30, 2008
Are you happy? Hehe! I am!! LOL! But nah.. what this happy post is about is..

I'm wondering if anyone is using it. The package seems good for those who talk a lot on the phone. I kinda stop that habit nowadays... But the whole thing sounds tempting. Any idea regarding this mobile operator? I have less than 24 hours to make my mind. HELP!!

Apparently its about talking your way to being happy. Any number, anywhere in Malaysia for maximum of RM0.99 for any duration of time. Anything less than 99 seconds will be charged at 1cents per second. Good deal???

Culture Shock

Monday, July 28, 2008

I guess I got too used to being around people with manners that when I came back here... I get so annoyed at people with the following traits below;-

  1. rude
  2. don't know how to queue up @ don't know what a queue is
  3. horrible at serving customers (rude waitress just asking to be scolded)
  4. have no respect for others
(a.k.a. smacking my ass in public is not funny nor is it acceptable!)
  5. not being punctual

A few rotten apples does really spoil the whole lot. Some people here should seriously go for some self-development tuition so that they will learn some manners !@!~!!~!~!!#%$^$@!

Down Under

Me no understand why everyone says Australia the Land Down Under.. Down under the everyone else? Somehow don't sound so nice to call it the Land Down Under. I was in the Land Down Under for a nice 3 weeks. Loved ALMOST every bit of it. The winter was at first unbearable and I spent 2 days hibernating beneath the thick quilt.

My bro managed to get me out of my bed on the second day in Melbourne. Seriously, I think I have the hardest time waking up everyday. There is not one day that I wake up feeling ecstatic about the day. I wake up everyday just wanting to go back to sleep again.

The thing about being in Melbourne is that unless you can really afford a car and paying for parking, you gotta take the train and buses. But their public transportation is so efficient there is nothing to worry about. If you're in Kuching, you've got a hell lot to worry about when it comes to our public transportation!

This is something we don't have in Kuching.

Aileen pro in being natural poses!
she couldn't be bothered with my bro snapping away at her.
she was too engrossed in reading the guide.

amelia, queer but cool.

us! she's really cool though she's 2 years younger than me.

We ended up in Flinders Street walking around, enjoying the sceneries and buildings. LOL! I don't mind spending my weekends taking walks around that area. Its just so serene and calm. Winter makes it even more bearable. You don't have to worry about getting all sweaty and eeky wet.

enjoying the walk...

those buildings look like toys right?

pointy top!

the church looks really nice... i love designs like these

a whole combo of buildings. barely see any spaces in between

some wii championship going on with all the kids going nuts about it

wee! everyday is like a big circus here!

she's loving it

weird design for a bridge

huge ferris wheel.

merry go round

these... are bells put upside down...

this, i have no idea what it is!

and he thought this was funny

reminds me of something i would see in our Sarawak Museum

Nice view.. now I don't mind taking a cruise along this river..
at least it is not brown and filled with rubbish

At the end of the day

This not the city center though. Just somewhere on the side of the city. Eight years ago when I was in Melbourne, we didn't get to do this cause my mum didn't allow us to explore Melbourne ourselves. We mainly stayed in the house the last time. Haha! This time round was totally different. =P Will continue the rest another day. Too many to write, too many pictures to put up. =P Memories that I will be able to read again later in months or years to come. =) hehe! byeB!
