Gone Has He To Penang

Friday, June 27, 2008
Chunk load of pictures ahead!

JC more formally known as Jason C. of The Dreaming just left Kuching for Penang today. He got into USM in Penang. It is rather weird because 2 years ago when I left Kuching for West Malaysia, he was there to send me off at the airport, and looky! This time I'm here to send him off. It is really my privilege to have met him and gotten to know him back in St Joseph. He turned my St Joseph life downside up and always lend a ear to listen to me.

It was through him that I met some very great people who played a big part in making me who I am today. I was with them for a good whole year in school. We hung almost everyday of the week and had so much fun laughing at almost anything that was funny. Those were some very good times. If I could go back in time, I would choose to go back to the year in Form 6. I would probably change how I did a few things.

Many of us were at the airport to send him off and not forgetting his own family too. I guess it was hard for his mum. She was in tears. His dad was saying, "He's all grown up already, he needs to fly." Chin and Valen brought their DSLR snapping away. Valen so cute, he don't dare to take pictures. Awww...

Jason had a farewell party on Wednesday and we all managed to catch and even play a last game of Tai Ti. Just like old times. =) Jason is always like the link for the group. Now, we have a missing link. *sobsss* I look forward to his birthday every year as we all get to meet up and I enjoy meeting his parents. They are so cool! Seriously.. LoL! I get questioned every year for not coming to house often enough. I enjoy those short but great conversations with his parents. *yes, I am somewhat not that young anymore.

Here are some pictures from that night:

Fruit punch with 35% alcohol! LoL!

Pizza! I'm guessing his mum made it.
His mum always prepares very yummy food that we all love!

Auntie's very famous roast lamb with her own recipe for the sauce!
Always a hit with the crowd...

Potato egg salad! Very nice too! All the carbohydrates you can get!

Satay is permanent on the menu for every occasion! yummy!

Fat noodles to fill up the tummy! *slurps*

The whole crowd....

The younger generations..

Very good, campulut!

Caress his own face one...

Milton & Eddie (ta ge - big brother)

The group that was laughing throughout the whole time...

LoL!

Kevin seems so happy.. Haha!

Jasmine is in here!

Don't fear! He will be back on 24 August! Announced already.
Keep your schedule open and meet up with him.
We'll all meet up again just like old times....

Bye bye, Jason!

Poser of the year!

Change of Theme

Thursday, June 26, 2008
(Updated)

My old theme was kinda getting old on me. So I decided to turn PINK into GOLD! Hence, the old One Voice turned into Wild Gold Leaves. Took off my eyes too! A whole year of seeing my eyes! Mainly same layout for now. Will try to change it in the near future. Holidays calls for weird hobbies. Changing templates is one of them. LoL!

Tell me what you think of the new template comparative the old one. =)
Would love to hear opinions.
I'm open to any comments.

Do You Hear That?

Tuesday, June 24, 2008

Do you hear that? Its the sound of peacefulness. =) What can possible go wrong at a time like this? I love songs like this. It only screams out Christmas, Romance and Serenity. It is the instrumental version of the song in Cinderella, 'A Dream Is A Wish'. Does anyone know any other songs or albums which are of the same kind? I'm in love with all of these!

Of Texas

Monday, June 23, 2008

Met up with an old childhood friend, Vince last night. We went to Tao Lifestyle Cafe. It has been a whole year since I last stepped into Tao. And I have concluded I like it! As compared to bing! or Starbucks or Atmostfera. You know why? Less people and very quiet. They play nice music too. Imagine bing! playing trance music while you are trying to talk to your friends. Starbucks super noisy clanking away and Atmosfera full with people. Quiet and empty places are my thing! At least I don't have to hang out in Hilton anymore. LoL!

Vince has been studying in Texas for a few years. I find it amazing that he went all the way to the States. He made the choice to study so far away, to get to somewhere new and fresh. If I had the chance to choose, I would too.

He told me all about his experiences in Texas and how he came to being who he is today. Now all of you vampires, you gotta start getting your facts straight about him. LoL! We share the same views on life; There is no such thing as cool or uncool and popularity is nothing great. Being different from everyone is something we are not afraid to be. LoL!

We don't have many friends in common as I only know him through his mum. My mum patronize his mum's hair salon for the last 10 years and that was how I met him. My only friend while I spend hours waiting for my mum to wash her hair, perm her hair, dye her hair, etc..

I wanna start saving money and get myself to the States! It is one of those things I have to do before I die. Now that I have someone there to show me around makes it much more easier for me to travel there. =) Keeping in touch with friends I rarely meet is fun! Since high school was a big blur for me, I really appreciate those who were always there for me to listen and hang out with me.

Lots of catching up to do this week.
Tata!

Bedtime Routine

The common bedtime routine is wash your face, brush your teeth, wash your feet and read a book before falling in. I've got a weird bedtime routine but it works well in getting me to sleep. I sleep like clock work at 4am everyday lately. I should move it to 3am soon. =) Slowly working my way back to normal hours.

Anyway, my bedtime routine consists of:
  • getting cleaned up
  • going to my bed
  • take my rubik's cube
  • have two rounds of it using two different ways to solve it
  • play tetris on my phone
  • only stop once I score 1000 points and above
  • then only sleep like baby!
For now, I already have 3 rubik's cube. 1 medium size and 2 normal size ones. For my coming birthday, I got myself the original rubik's cube! I saw a giant size rubik's cube before! It was bigger than my palm! Imagine that! I didn't buy it thought because I was thinking there was no point, I was into speed cubing! I don't see it anymore in that particular shop.

The Original Rubik's Cube!

Super Size Rubik's Cube!

A bit addicted to the rubik's cube. I'm trying to formulate a different way to finish it. Then I will have 3 different ways! So far, my fastest record is still 2.5 minutes. I wanna make it below 2 minutes! Who wanna help?@!@!

ParaKiss

Sunday, June 22, 2008

I want a fashion designer boyfriend who makes uniquely amazing clothes and accessories! Including matching shoes! I have a friend who used to draw amazing dresses when he was back in high school but he went into Bio-related course. He was really good at drawing dresses! I love pretty dresses! awww~

And don't worry, I'm not turning into a bimbo YET! Haha! I'm NOT going nuts about becoming a model. As far as I am concerned, it is not my area of expertise but I am more than glad to be of a helping hand to friends. =)

Flaunting too many pictures of yourself is just a bit too much especially when everything is the same just in different million angles and clothes. 'We know how you look like, no point in taking 1 MILLION AND 1 ANGLES to show us!' Unless you are a model of a magazine, then by all means.. please do because it is your job.

Oh!! Talking about models! I have pictures of Amber Chia with Kitteh!! Kitteh from the plastic kotak in my previous post! Kitteh now famous liaw! From plastic kotak to the arms of celebrities! I am jealous! Hahhaha!

But back to Amber Chia! Ok, she... em... too thin! And from what I hear, she plasters so much make up on her face. I can't put the pictures of her and kitteh up on my blog yet as it is not yet out in the press. Until the magazine is out, maybe then I can show you how thin she is! Super shocking! Now who else wanna say I'm thin? Look at her! =P

But yea, I know! I'm thin! Don't look at me! In this week alone, I ate 4 burgers. My visits to burger stalls and McD is totally to the max! McD is due to the french fries! On Thursday night, McD was out of soft drinks! Hahaha! So they let us choose between Orange juice, Ribena, Ice Lemon Tea, Milo or Soya Bean! So NICE!! But no refills that is. April!! McD!! Argh!! I want!!

Food~~~ Ok.. I'm hungry! Darn it. I have to stop talking about food. It is all that I think about! Dang it! But I can't wait til next week. I have so many places I want to go. Wee! And next month? Food would be glorious in a place where your food goes cold super quick in no time!! That means? EAT FAST!

What inspired this outburst? ParaKiss!! Its an anime introduced by Alex. It took some getting used to especially the style of drawing but the storyline is really good. If you like Honey & Clover or NaNa, you'll definitely like ParaKiss.

ParaKiss is short for Paradise Kiss. A fashion label by a group of 4 art students from Yaza Academy. George Koizumi aka Jorji being the leading fashion designer with a neck for coming up with uniquely amazing dresses for women. He may seem very cold but deep inside he cares for everything that is important to him. At least there is a soft spot inside of him.

Yukari 'Caroline' Hayasaka is a high school student, tired of living the repetitive routine life. She was kidnapped the the group of art students and they made her an offer to be their model for their academy's Art Festival. She was an uptight girl but soon she learns that there is just more to life than just doing what her parents wants her to do. It was about making her own decisions in life. And she wants to be a professional model.

Sakurada Miwako,
Nagase Arashi and Yamamoto Daisuke supports George in putting together his designs. Each of them play a big part in keeping the group together. Very artsy fartsy students. What more can you ask for, pure art students. It is what they are good at. =)

I am only half way through but it really makes me wants to finish it in one sitting which is damn bad! Now who said people who watch anime has no life? Anime has values that also can be applied in real life. Some people think they are just too good for anime. You don't know what you are missing, man!

Hot! Hot! Jorji & Caroline!

Past Potraits

Friday, June 20, 2008
Ok, dont laugh. I just had free time looking through my albums. I'm not gonna be a bimbo about it. LoL! Don't worry. It all started out with this.

This was my mum's idea. And this chick looks a bit too mature! This was.. 5 years ago! LoL! Then 3 years later, it was this...

I look more my age then, no? LoL! I was actually at LKW to visit my godbrother when his friends asked me to be their subject then and there, on the spot. The picture in black & white was taken in a super disgusting place! There were so many used condoms thrown around in the abandon building!! I never want to go back to that place ever again! The place should be demolished!

The pictures below were taken last year. Helping Vivian with her assignments. And no, I ain't dating the guy. He was my partner for the photoshoot. LoL! Super red lipstick was Vivian's idea! Scary!!

Watcha think?
Me like pictures where I am natural.
Me thinks, posing is just something I am stiff at.. LoL!

Finally Over, So... Over

Monday, June 16, 2008

In the words of Meredith Grey. So.. over~ My exams are over! I wanna celebrate but I'm sick! Yes! I survived 2 papers even though I am sick! Thanks to panadols and big dosage of vitamin C's & B's! But I can feel my body is internally over exhausted. I slept so early last night! 8pm!! LoL! Haven't felt so carefree in months. Haha!

I wanna be normal for once like everyone. Sleep early! What should I do now that holidays are here? The feeling has not actually settled in yet. In fact, I still feel as if I am suppose to start looking at a book and rush again.

Will probably start clearing up the house and then start finding new hobbies to do! LoL! Like ... sitting far away from the square box! Hahha! But I think it is inevitable! Argh! Plus I have animes to watch!! Time to catch up on series! Wee! Then I gotta start packing.....

Will probably bake a cake since all the ingredients has been waiting there for many many months. Will upgrade my culinary knowledge cause I keep getting hungry during the wee hours! Apparently all I can think about now is food! My goodness! Yes! Another hobby is keluar cari makan! Yay!!

Then will make time to meet up with all my friends whom I rarely meet. LoL! Ok.. this holiday seems to be filled with plans of meeting up with people... I have even one more coming in July in which I am suppose to be the tourist guide again. Will be meeting my brother and sister too! 6 months no see them. LoL! Long time!!

Time to enjoy my holiday!

How about you?

PMS-ing

Sunday, June 15, 2008

I think this is first post ever I write on PMS! Because I don't like PMS! And I don't think it has bug me that much until now! Argh! The weather is super hot but but.. I'm feeling cold! But but.. I'm sweating! Eeee!! So weird~~!!! Cold sweat!

I hate the feeling when my body does not feel right. Getting the shivers and goosebumps for no apparent reason is also considered weird! Body system going hair wire! I need to fly to a place where it is 6 hours late! I've been sleeping so normally at 6am like clock work! Erk! Stupid exams! I don't know why my brain absorption is far better between the hours of 12am-6am!

Maybe due to the fact that I know everyone else is sleeping and no one will bug me. Though occasionally 2-3 person I know likes the midnight calls or the midnight msn chats. And the temperature between 12am-6am is just so naturally cozy and nice as compared to other times of the day.

After tonight, there shall be no more late nights! I will need to appoint some people to make sure I sleep by 1am and wake up latest by 9am or 10am!! Take the Internet away from me! I wanna do something more than just sitting in front of the square box!! Holidays here I come! *After 24 hours that is! LoL!

Good Luck to me and you!

Cash Out to Cash In

Friday, June 13, 2008

This was greatly edited.
I've watched how fake cheques can be done.
I don't wanna contribute to that.

I cash out to cash in, GET IT?? Yay! It finally came! I finally cash out my earnings from Advertlets.com!! Super duper! Time for shopping? Time for treating myself to a super grand dinner? Perhaps a nice dinner at The Jambu.. or The Steakhouse in Hilton? I think food would come first. The rest second! LoL! Feeding myself is very important! At least a million people would agree with that! Haha!

But the moment my mum heard I got the cheque? LoL! She said, "Ok, put into your bank." In which, 'put into bank' indirectly means... 'don't take out'. Haha! But I'm gonna try to get it. =P Hehe! I won't spend it all at once. I am a very careful spender. Making my dollar stretch is my specialty! LoL!

Big thanks to Advertlets.com!

Hitz.fm Whoopsie: Trix aka Sayla

Thursday, June 12, 2008

click "PLAY"... you know you want to! =P

I've been listening to this song on the radio for over a month but I had no idea who sang it or what the title was. Super catchy song. You just feel like grooving to it. The only part that I can sing along to....

"We can do the whoopsie, the whoopsie."

The only time I only listen to hitz.fm is when I'm in other people's car. =P Cause my mum's car long time ago no radio, dad will never listen to hitz.fm. LoL! So I have very limited time to listen to radio. I used to spend time in my room listening to the radio but since last year, I've been spending less time in my room. The most of the time I spend in there is when I'm sleeping. LoL!

Downloading the song is impossible. LoL! But I know someone 'genius' managed to do something. LoL! Impossible being the best part of this song. I was so surprised when I googled it, it was so hard to search for! It only came up after I typed in hitz.fm. "Whoopsie" is produced by the Hitz.Fm DJ Division. And for me to actually like it? Means it is quite good! Our local entertainment industry is really stepping it up! Wooott!! This song is of international standard!!! It deserves every good exposure!

WAY TO GO HITZ.FM!

Check out Whoopsie in the Making!

I want to be able to do that!
Edit songs!
Mix everything together and voila!
GREAT SONG!

Half Way Through

Wednesday, June 11, 2008
Woo!! 2 papers down!! 2 more to go! I am so glad that Corporate Accounting is over. I'm exhausted to the bones. Drained out from it. I think I only had a good 2 hours sleep. Horrible. That's the problem when you lie down on your bed and think about all the formats and theories! I ended up answering questions in my head.

I'm gonna catch a movie later! Wee! Take a break! Breathe a little. Drain out Contract Law and Corporate Accounting from my head to get more memory space back in my brain. Poor brain. Always working so much.

Can't wait for it all to be over!! Then it will be holiday yet again! Something different this year. Wee~! I'm gonna go now. Yawning away like a mad woman! Tata! Good Luck to everyone who are having exams!!

It Is Gonna Be A Long Week

Sunday, June 08, 2008

The UEFA Euro 2008 just started. Soon I'll start hearing conversations on football matches and results. Not that I will have time to sit and listen though. My exam starts tomorrow. First paper? Contract Law. Yummy~ LoL!

As much as I love the subject, I still don't like the feeling of being tested for it. A lot of preparation is required. Although it is an open book exam, there is so much time that you can flip around. I know what I start flipping, that is when I am starting to panic. You waste a lot of precious time flipping and reading. You need all the time you can get to WRITE as much as you can. I tend to come out of Contract Law tests with a sore left arm!

Another thing I learned from past tests is...

"Don't give short cut answers!"

Give short cut answers la, the lecturer will also give you SHORT marks. RaR! Haha! Must remember, think that all lecturers don't know anything bout the subject. So must explain to them like sekia!

After Contract Law, the dreaded subject of all Corporate Accounting will fry my butt off. I have the least confident in Corporate Accounting. Bad news for me. =( Horrible! But I will throw in everything into doing all I can to at least pass it! In which after that horrifying paper, I am going to catch a movie to throw out Contract Law and Corporate Accounting from my brain to make way for e-Business and Management Decision Making.

It will be a stretched long week. Heart pounding, mind wobbling, throat thickening, absolutely can't swallow. All the usual symptoms. By the weekend, Father's Day. In conjunction with Father's Day, Green Heights Mall will start operating on the 13th June. Friday, the 13!! OMG! I just realized the 13th will be a Friday! Does anyone fear Friday the 13th? It is said that Friday the 13th is an unlucky day in ancient times. Does anyone here believe it?

Anyway, back to the subject. Green Heights Mall opening. Yes! Bring your father on Father's Day there to shop. Got Cold Storage ar.. International Supermarket wo... LoL! There will be a fun filled program on the 15th of June. In which, as much as I am informed of it. I may not be able to get there on the opening. Monday got 2 PAPERS to fight with.

A friend of mine, Adrian of JuzzFriends will be performing live on stage with his band on 13 June. A very jazzy, bluesy band with a pinch of classiness in their performance. I think I am their biggest fan, LoL! It is so rarely that you get bands like these in Kuching. Lots of good ones in Singapore but not here. =( I am always well informed of their performances, big fan of jazzy bands. The piano player is superb! I mean his skills in jazz improvisation. They just have the ears! Absolutely sensitive ears to tunes!

JuzzFriends
(without Ben though, he tengah berhappy in Australia)

Catch them at Green Heights Mall this coming weekend. It will be a 3 hours long performance. They've been practicing for it every night. Very dedicated musicians/ teachers. I'll probably try to drop by to catch em. Being invited exclusively by the lead singer of the band.. of course wanna give face. LoL! Anyway, habis with promoting Green Heights Mall and JuzzFriends.

Time to head back to Contract Law. Final preparation before calling it a night. Wish me lots of luck! May God bless me and all the other students are going to sit for exams! Gambatte!!

Disorder in the Court

Wednesday, June 04, 2008
These are from a book called Disorder in the Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

ATTORNEY:What was the first thing your husband said to

you that morning?
WITNESS:He said, "Where am I, Cathy?"
ATTORNEY:And why did that upset you?
WITNESS:My name is Susan.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ATTORNEY:Do you know if your daughter has ever been involved in voodoo?
WITNESS:We both do.
ATTORNEY:Voodoo?
WITNESS:We do.
ATTORNEY:You do?
WITNESS:Yes, voodoo.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ATTORNEY:Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies

in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?
WITNESS:Did you actually pass the bar exam?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ATTORNEY:The youngest son, the twenty-year-old, how old is he?
WITNESS:Uh, he's twenty-one...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ATTORNEY:Were you present when your picture was taken?
WITNESS:Would you repeat the question?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ATTORNEY:So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th?
WITNESS:Yes.
ATTORNEY:And what were you doing at that time?
WITNESS:Uh....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ATTORNEY:She had three children, light?
WITNESS:Yes.
ATTORNEY:How many were boys?
WITNESS:None.
ATTORNEY:Were there any girls?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ATTORNEY:How was your first marriage terminated?
WITNESS:By death.
ATTORNEY:And by whose death was it terminated?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ATTORNEY:Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people?
WITNESS:All my autopsies are performed on dead people.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ATTORNEY:ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to?
WITNESS:Oral.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ATTORNEY:Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?
WITNESS:No.
ATTORNEY:Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS:No.
ATTORNEY:Did you check for breathing?
WITNESS:No.
ATTORNEY:Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS:No.
ATTORNEY:So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when

you began the autopsy?
WITNESS:No.
ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS:Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY:But could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS:Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and

practicing law.

Totally hilarious! It makes you wonder how does lawyers managed to pass their bar exams! LoL! Another funny story I heard from a friend was.. her future lawyer friend has been failing classes and repeating. Hence, it is taking her a far longer time to actually graduate than any law graduates.

Her future lawyer friend's defense was, "It is good to repeat subjects. That way YOU understand more." **YOU referring to the world at large**

The moral of the story is?

"Fail more often. Spend more money on repeating. That way YOU understand more."

Goodness me. If you want to understand more so badly..... Study more la! Study more so that you don't fail! That way, you understand more, save time & save money! You wonder why some people wanna act ke kiang, talk with so much kentang in the mouth but actually all sound so ridiculous! If you actually admit and say, "I'm not doing very well, can't seem to grasp the law." At least people will understand. But you go shoot and say, "It is GOOD to repeat." Sounds as if everyone should just fail like you and repeat. Preaching wrong things la! Even I malu want to admit I know this kind of people. Malu~ Malu~

My lecturer would have laughed badly and said, "Stupid bugger!" Sometimes in class, he would tell us stories of his court days back in Sydney. He said, "Half the time, I win a case is not because my client was right but because I was much cleverer than the other lawyer. Poor stupid fella." Having a lecturer who has had that much experiences and sharing it with us is fun.

But he said he stopped being a lawyer because it was just not right. No matter if his client was right or wrong, he still had to defend. Due to him being always able to win a case even if his client is wrong, he says its not good for his health. Mentally and spiritually! Yeah, imagine defending a murderer and then let him walk out free. Scary!

The world of justice is just sometimes unjust. Any argument that you are involved in, should be argued with proper base. I have seen some people defending themselves in the most stupidest way ever. It makes you laugh badly. Please just don't embarrass yourself in public like that!

To Be Free

I realized that when I'm stressed or angry, I would directly switch my music playlist. From soothing, relaxing tunes directly to hard bass trance or hardcore rock. My all time favourites are:

  • Raise The Bass - DJ Virus & DJ Neo
  • Beat Diz - Hardstyle Masterz
  • Bleed It Out - Linkin Park
  • Digitalism - Pogo

Last year, the one time I was so angry til I cursed so much for a whole week, I realized my anger feeds on really loud songs. At the same time, I was so stressed out with tests. It was then I realized it gives me a boost and it keeps me awake because it is so noisy. Hahha! I am directly recharged since the bass acts like a massager for my brain. Imagine listening to these at 6am! Haha!

So here I am 1 year later, loading the same songs into my mp3 player. Since my good mood tonight was sort of destroyed. I suddenly had the mood to listen to these sorta songs and realized that I also need it for studying.

Last year, Anthony gave me a dvd full of trance and techno. I think I misplaced it. Will probably find it tomorrow to increase the number techno/trance songs in my mp3. It seems that for the past 6 months, I have not downloaded anything horribly rockish or loud. Everything is sweet, soothing tunes! My whole music file of the past 6 months has proven to me that I've been too good to be true! I've been a good girl for far too long! Dang it, I need to at least keep my music a bit bad! LoL!

Prohibitionist never stood a chance against exhibitionist.
It's human nature to be free.
And no matter how long you try to be good,
You can't keep a bad girl down.

It was only a small gesture!
