2007 was a good run~

Monday, December 31, 2007
2007 has been eventful. There was quiet times but it was balanced up with crazy times too.

TOP 10 things that I am THANKFUL for in the year 2007:
  1. To be studying in Kuching again and living with my family again.
  2. To be able to control my emotions better.
  3. To have people who cares for me around me.
  4. To have met someone totally unexpected, who is now dear to me.
  5. To have had that confrontation with Angel that totally changed everything between us. We are so great together now that I hope nothing will change between us! I just like how straight forward she is with me and how I can just be really honest with her and she listens. =) I love you woman! I’m glad to know you better this year!
  6. To have met Aprilia! She is a good friend. =) She may be different but as a friend she is one for keeps. =)
  7. To have met all the new friends I have made in Swinburne. Really great bunch of people. =) Can't name all because there are just too many of them. =)
  8. To have my freedom level up a notch this year. =P
  9. To have met a lot of rotten people and learn from those mistakes.
  10. To understand that I may NOT have high expectation for myself or anyone or anything but at least I have this thing called HOPE for everything. =)

I would say that the year 2007 has been really different from all the other years. There are good and bad memories from the year 2007 but I would keep the good ones and just let go the bad ones. =) There is just no point holding onto the sadness in our lives because they only makes us upset. Just move on and remember the good things and be thankful for them. =)

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and have your New Year's resolutions ready. =P
How are you welcoming the year 2008?
Booze and loud music or home with family?
I'll be at home with my family. =)
Will have my small little celebration with TV later. Hahaha~!
Happy New Year, people!! Love lots!

Singapore Night Safari

I seriously recommend anyone to pay a visit to the Singapore Night Safari. I've always wanted to see real life elephants, hyenas, tigers and lions. Since now that I've seen them, my next goal is TOUCH real life ones!!

If you like exotic animals with great lightings, you should go on the trail walks at night. I was amazed at how big the whole place really is. There is even a lake in the middle. I saw a Giraffe and Zebra!! I know, I sound like a little girl! But seriously, just watching these animals makes your jaw drop.

Important warning though, you are allowed to take pictures with your own camera. ONLY problem is MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT USE FLASH MODE! If not, the animals would come after you. Did I mention that the animals are not kept in cages? The whole place is like a jungle for them! I don't know how they can keep the animals separated!!

I mean, won't the tiger hunt for those deers which are not that far away?? Won't the hyenas and lions fight?? Or are they all friends with each other??!! Someone please answer these questions!! There are TRAM rides available where you can sit in the tram and they would take you around the whole Night Safari, giving you a grand tour for a whole 45 minutes.

Then there is the Creatures of the Night Show lead by very trained instructors and cool animals!! Tribal Performance had all those buffed up men dancing on stage, playing and spitting with fire. It was a fun night but the bus and MRT ride took a lot, a lot of time. So be prepared to spend the night away if you plan to go for the Singapore Night Safari.

Most of the noodles are hidden under the murky soup~

For lunch the next day, my mum met up with her friend in Raffles City. My sister and I ran away and took a cab to Orchard. Hahhha! Just for the sake of running away. Haha! We went to a place called 'Spageddies" in Paragon Shopping Centre. It was a heaven of Spaghetti! Haha!

Moving on to Singapore...

Saturday, December 22, 2007

But before Singapore.. remember how I had rushed to LCCT in the EARLY morning? Yea, I panic lots that morning. Upon arriving after a 45 minutes flight in Johor, Senai Airport first instinct was FIND FOOD! So I went to Marrybrown and spent 4 hours there watching cartoons while waiting for my mum's flight. At least they had swings.. so I could lie down and be lazy...

While I was in KL, I was very well pampered. =P Hehe~ There was no need for me to take any bus or LRT or even taxi~ But when I got to Singapore, every single form of transportation was required. The MRT, cabs and bus~

Tracks.. I have to see it everyday in Singapore..

Some good advice...

On the way back to Singapore after visiting grandmum~

The building that looks like a prison~

Christmas decorations in Singapore is a few level above compared to that of in Kuching.
Lots of pretty lights around everywhere.. Up, down, left, right...

In Bugis....

They've even got DASHING looking mannequins~ =P yummy.. *drool*

Pretty lady playing a HARP.. Something you don't see everyday...

That is a lot of strings....

The GOLDEN Compass... not a very nice movie.. watched it in Shaw Bugis Cineplex..
I still very much prefer CineLeisure's Cathay or GSC in KL!!
