So what is so great about blogging?? Lately, some people I know has been asking the same questions I am asking myself. A few years back, blogging was just for fun. Well, for me it was for fun, a place for me to vent out my anger and also a place where I keep my memories. (indirectly my diary but I am always writing in hints anyways! XD so unless you can read in between the lines of words, there are just too many hidden meanings only for myself to remember! Haha!) I didn't even bother if anyone read it~~
And NOW? Blogging has now became a 'necessity'. It is as if every single teenager thinks it is a MUST to have a blog and that being a blogger is so 'cool'. And everything they do, every outing is turned into a blog material.
- It started to get annoying last year when I heard this line way too many times....
"Oh oh! This is so blog material!! I am going to take pictures of this and blog about it!"
"Wait wait! I want take picture.. must put on my blog!" - Then there was this line...
"You don't have a digital camera?? How can that be! IT IS A MUST FOR A BLOGGER TO HAVE A CAMERA! Such a very important thing when you are a blogger.~"
Right.... And then suddenly there was PREREQUISITES to being a blogger. Wow~ It is like joining the BLOGGERS CLUB. If my prediction is right, people might just come up with a whole CLUB of bloggers and soon people will have to start paying for having a blog. - And you have people who put blogging top priority before everything else?? [blog obsessed]
Wow~ These people are the glam, attention-seeking people. You follow everyone else or more specifically, other bloggers. You wanna go where they go, do what they do and then write it up and put it on your blog. Then somehow even your own friends is put at the same rank as your blog readers. The whole point of meeting up is to be able talk but when you just shut people out and talk about your blog.
Imagine everything you do, the word blog comes up so the damn often. I am a blogger myself but I don't talk about my blog so freaking often. It is even worse when you keep going about blogs when it is obvious there are none bloggers among the group and talking about blogs and virtual people is only to alienate friends who do not blog at all. - Then there are those bloggers who are so damn concerned about their blog traffics...
"Ah!! I had over 100 over visits!"
"Ever since so and so mentioned bout my blog, the traffics has been shooting up"
"Owh... today so little people visit my blog.."
So blogging has become this glamourous you do in hopes that you will become famous.. And I have watched just way too many people trying to make it. Maybe give them til the end of this year? By then maybe they make it? But in the process they might end up loosing their own real friends since they are just so virtually into their own VIRTUAL LIFE. Try balancing it!! Everyday talk about blog also sien ya know~~ People complain complain... Ear also can bleed~~
