IMH Juzz Friends

Saturday, July 28, 2007

Remember Juzz Friends? The one I blogged about a year ago. Well back then it was Just Friends.

Just + Jazz = Juzz??

Not sure if that's the case but I'm guessing that is why it is Juzz now. =P Enough about guessing names. Now back to business.

Juzz Friends is a jazz band formed by a group of friends, students of the International Music House. They have been performing together for sometime now and they are really getting better. And now, they are already composing and recording their own songs like The Rain and That Smile.

I'm very happy for them that they can get this far in music, playing and performing. I once was a music student too but yea, now I'm an accounting student. =P BUT music is still a big part of me. I may not be studying music full time but I listen to music full time! =P Sides, I'm supporting LOCAL music! =P

They used to perform weekly in barZing but now they perform for weddings and corporate events. So if any of you have a grand event and you want nice live band performing call em' and make a reservation. I'm not sure about the rates. That you have to work it out with them. =) If you love jazz or just light and easy songs, it is a MUST to listen to them.

Band Members:
Marvin Jong
Adrian Lim
Abdul Mubthalib
Chang Chung Yi
Benzie Jarai
Benjamin Moh

So if you are interested do visit their site at:
www.bebo.com/imhjuzzfriends

Do check out their songs. Some songs are composed and compiled by themselves. I highly recommend to those who loves jazz or those who just wanna try listening to something new. =) It is a MUST to listen to 'The Rain' composed by Adrian and compiled by Marvin, it is my favourite for now. =P So do check it out yea? =P

Singapore Trip Day 3

Thursday, July 26, 2007

Okie my 3rd day, we woke up super late which was NOON! Morning gone liaw. In the end, me set out first and meet up sis a bit later since she has tonnes to do that day. Plan of the day, find TRANSFORMER.

Easy right? Go to a cineplex, can find. But NO... I wish it was that easy. From instructions given, I'm suppose to go to a Carrefour to look for a TRANSFORMER. Nope, not shopping for groceries, appliances or fresh food. JUST TO TAKE A PICTURE of a cartoon/movie character~ Oh well, someone requested so hence me went~ I went through all that trouble just to keep that promise. People should love me for that! Hahah!

Problem is that sis said there are 2 Carrefour Stores. One in Dhoby Ghaut and one in Suntec City. I'never been in Dhoby Ghaut. So I chose to go Suntec City. I've only been to the Carrefour in Suntec City twice in my life and NO, I never bothered remembering where it was. So yea, I had to look for it!

I never knew that SUNTEC CITY has 5 towers!! CRAZY HUGE! What's with Singapore and huge shopping malls???? I had to look at the MAP of Suntec to find Carrefour. Walking from City Hall MRT Station was far! I actually rushed. I couldn't run because there were just so many people around!

Walked, walked, walked. It is so much safer to walk on the first floor of Suntec. It is damn hard to cross over between towers on ground floor! I didn't even stop to look into any shops. One mission, one goal - get it done first then shop later. Seriously, when I saw Carrefour and I recognized that tower, I was just so relieved! Walked in first thing, guess who I saw????

Who is this guy? I know you all know who...

Yes, I searched and walked around Suntec City Mall looking for him! Mission complete! On the way back to City Hall MRT Station, I got LOST TWICE! Met up with an old friend from Kuching. We ended up having drinks next to a water fountain. Every where also got water fountain~ Supposedly water fountain brings in wealth?? No wonder Singapore is rich??

Then rushed to meet my sis in Tanjong Pagar! Didn't want her to wait for me. I rather I wait for her than she wait for me. =P We were going for KOREAN dinner in Bi Won Korean Restaurant!! weee~!!! Kimchi, kimchi here I come!!

Sit on da floor...

Nok cha = Green Tea

Me + food = HAPPY!

Seol-leong galbi tang = Ox rib soup

Yuk-gae jang = Spicy beef soup

Sides dishes...

I know this structure! Pentagonal arrangements of atoms?? Chemistry form 6??

After dinner, we went to Orchard and start our shopping! Isetan, Tangs, Wisma Atria. We spent quite sometime in MNG though. Goodness me~ By 11pm, shopping malls were closing. So we went to a bookstore in Whee Lock Place called Borders. They even have their own Borders CafE so we had our supper there! =P

Tiramisu, yummy! The best I've tested so far!!

Caesar's Salad, yummy!

Do we look alike??? Any resemblence??

*We were so happy upon reaching home that we even caught a movie with my sister's new housemate. We didn't know that the waitress at Borders CAfe didn't return my sister's change. It was an amount of SGD$ 35!! Will continue another day~ =P

Meet at Sue's

Tuesday, July 24, 2007

Remember this post I wrote 6 months ago. Sue's back again from the States and she wanted to meet up again. So, Irene of Sweet Surrender contacted us and invited us to Sue's place. It had to be private, I'm guessing because if too many people flood the place later very hard to control. =P People like me like things in small numbers.

Anyways, I only managed to get to Sue's place late after mass so I guess I missed out quite a lot on talks and people too. By the time I got there, I think more than half was already leaving. This time round, there were at least people that I know. The last time round, it was seriously the first time I've met everyone in the house. The thing about me is that I take quite some time to warm up to people I just meet. So do excuse me if I do seem a little quiet when you meet me for the first time.

Back to the topic, Sue had prepared some very delicious dishes like Tuna Casserole, Spaghetti, Cheese Sticks, Nacho chips perhaps?? Well, as long as there is food.. I'm there. =P Haha! I know my tummy is bigger than me. Haha!

There were snacks too from the States like biscuits and chocolates. Lots and lots of chocolates. The biscuits are nice. Sue was not kidding when she said their nice. =P And the bottle shaped chocolates has LIQUOR in it! They look so cute! I've yet to try them and they are safely in the fridge waiting for me. =P

There also these weird tasting jellybeans! Some were really nice but some were just bad! Some flavours were even called Soap, Vomit and Grass. But I like soap, the blue one and grass. Vomit was bad!!! Yucky~ Didn't know sweets could taste that bad!

Nuts that I only see in cartoons!

Again I wanna say, Kuching is really small. You never know who is related to who or who knows who. Sometimes I myself am amazed and how connected everyone is to each other. I think blogs are a good way of finding people unexpectedly. Haha! Especially if you've migrated far and you just lose contact with friends or relatives whom you have no idea is in which part of the world. You just never know who knows who. =P

I had a great time talking to Sue and the rest that night. By then there was only Sue and her husband, Anna, Kenneth, Georgette, Kenny, Samantha and me. =) Although it is a small number, I think I'm better with a small group of people than big ones. hehe! Thank you to Sue for those delicious food and snacks. =) I don't have many pictures from the meet though. (yomi still don't own her own camera* =P) But here's one =)

3 ex-classmates from St3~

Singapore Trip Day 2

Monday, July 23, 2007

yomi got to travel Singapore alone on Day 2!! It was fun alone, I walked everywhere I wanted to go. A bit lonely but at least I did everything at my own pace. Hehe~!

So so, yomi's first place to visit was Tiong Bahru Plaza. The girls had requested for something in Chamelon. So yes, I made a trip down there just for them. They wanted some make-up stuff, unfortunately.. Chamelon didn't have the one they wanted.

From Tiong Bahru, I went to Harbourfront where ViVOCity is. Since everyone said I must visit VivoCity so what the hell. I got a whole day to myself. So yea, went to check it out. It ain't fun, that is for sure. So big! Its like one end to other end. BLOCK A - L??? I think there is like maybe 5 floors?? I didn't make it to finish all. By the 2nd floor, I didn't bother. Too much.. headache!~!

'Vivo The City'

Pretty water fountain on the floor. Everywhere in Singapore sure has water fountain~

Yummy pastries from BreadTalk. It is a must to have em'.

This is Singapore's The BanQuet
**a food court**

Weird old Chinese ship~

Curi-curi take picture of the Merlion since I can't get to Sentosa Island. =P

So off I went to Bugis. Nope, didn't pay a visit to Sim Lim Square since I didn't need any electronics or computer parts from there. Walked around Bugis Street and that was it. I couldn't stand it no more and it was 4.30pm by then. Set off to head home and relax before having to meet up with sista at 7pm.

This I saw at Bugis~ Nope.. didn't dare go in. =P

Buildings in Raffles Place~

One word of advice, NEVER EVER WEAR HIGH HEELS TO WALK AROUND IN SINGAPORE! I almost died just wearing heels in Singapore since my sister said to wear nice nice because she was gonna take me somewhere nice. We met up in Orchard and we went for Fish & Co. The one thing about dining in Orchard, you really can see people lining up to wait for seats. Sometimes the queues are so long its crazy.

My sister had the traditional fish and chips while clever me wanted to try something funny so my fish came with lots of GREEN yucky stuff on it. I had to scrap all it off and lots of tar tar sauce on my fish to mask the taste of that green thing.

Huge prawns man!! Crazy~~ Looky at that green stuff on the fishy~ YuckY!

After that we hung out outside Whee Lock Place where ZARA is eating Chocolate Dip Ice Cream! So cheap and worth it!! yummy!! There were people singing on the streets and he is quite good. A few tourists were actually dancing around listening to them. Rare sight.

Sista with yummy ice cream~

Ads with lights in the night~

Do you see ZARA??

The man entertain people on the streets~

We had to do more walking to go to where my sister was taking me. Mean~ Wearing high heels to walk. Not so close man.. and guess where she brought me to. THE REGENT HOTEL, a Four Seasons Hotel. The place looks so grand and they have couches that is enough for at least more than 50 families!

We went to THE BAR (*seriously the name of the bar is THE BAR) my sister had Perfect Martini and I had Slam Sensation. I must say I like my sister's Perfect Martini. There was this waitress who was very polite and attentive. Her name is LULU. Very pretty gal. She recognizes my sister as my sister is a frequent customer of THE BAR.

I just had to sing to my sister.. "Little LULU, Little LULU".. you know that cartoon, Little Lulu?? Hehe~ The waitresses checks up on customers every 20mins? I think. Well trained. Good service. They just keep refilling our snacks. =P I like the wasabi chips! Yummy!!

Then suddenly Lulu, the waitress came over and introduced herself to me. She was wondering if my sister and I are from Japan. hoho~ There were 3 Japanese men actually sitting behind us and I told Lulu, "The real Japanese are behind us" Haha~

While in Singapore, people tend to think I'm from Korea or Japan. Maybe cause when they tried talking to me in Mandarin, I don't understand so I just speak in English. When I say I'm from Kuching, some salesgirls asked "Where is that?" *sweat*

THE BAR

The bar???

The Jazz Band

Nice comfy seats

Sista~

Me

Nice nice toilet sink~

See what I mean by everywhere in Singapore sure has water fountain!

Spiral stairs, Weeeeee~!

Looky at the lights above!! If those fall and poke? I think pain~

Yet another pretty seat.. lets take one set home! I'm sure they wont even realize one set is missing! They have tonnes!!

Compare this pic of me with the phone now and this other pic of me with a different phone a few years ago in Singapore. I guess I have this thing for phones! Hahaha! =P

Burnt Yet Again

Sunday, July 22, 2007

Clever yomi wanted to go swim in the pool at 1pm. Now I look like a lobster. At least now my cheeks are naturally PINK! Haha! But the skin on my forehead, shoulders and arms very painful. Even when taking shower, the water bites! Ouch!!

Had a great night with the kids in Damai again. The prefects of Board 2006/2007 were having their prefect trip and we came along to join in the fun. =P They are lucky this year, they got Chalet rooms~ Nice nice one~

They had some fun, playing Pool Rugby and burying Jason in the sand with artificial boobs, hands, legs and d**k with balls on the surface. Rare sight. We waited til the water came in and wash off the sand from him. It was a long wait.... It was nice to be able to hang out with them again after such a long time.

Okie, I wanna go take a nap now. Woke up too early this morning. I seem to be having such healthy sleeping pattern now. Been waking up in the mornings and not at noon. =P Tomorrow results come out!!! Die!!! WISH ME LUCK!! I dunno if I will cry~ Huuuuuu~ If I cry also stupid la, it was my own doing.

Nevermind! Next semester, I'm gonna make sure I won't be scared of any subjects at all!! The weird thing about me is... people are scared of lecturers but I'm scared of the subject itself! Pretty stupid right?? Pengz~ Anyways, I hope some people will pass everything so that everything will have a happy ending. =P Weeee~ I should say the same for me.. WEIRDO! I should be hoping for myself to pass everything!! Blur~ Sleep time! Byeb!

Singapore Trip Day 1

Thursday, July 19, 2007
Nowadays, going to the airport is like a drop-off point for mum. Hehe~ Blame it on my brother and I who travels so much. Well, me maybe once a year. My brother travels damn a lot for business and leisure. Hahaa! I travel for leisure ONLY!

Flight was boring. I hate flying! I get air sickness! I can't breathe with my nose inflight. I have to breathe through my mouth throughout the whole flight. I had the whole row to myself and for the very first time, I was listening to mp3 on my phone! Haaha! Now, now kids.. don't try this ok? Unless you have a flight mode feature on your phone. I took extra precaution and took out my SIM card too. I just wanted to listen to my mp3s.

I was reading, "The Thing About Jane Spring" until I got tired and was gonna try take a nap when suddenly the Pilot said that we were about to land, reminding us to fasten on seat belts. So much for POWER NAP.

And here I will tell you step by step on how to get to Singapore from Johor Senai Airport:

1. Come out of the arrival hall. There will be a ticket counter outside selling Causeway Link bus ticket to City Lounge which is the Terminal Sentral Kotaraya. (RM8.00)
2. Sit quietly on the bus for 40 minutes minimum til you reach the City Lounge.
3. Get off the bus at City Lounge and find bus with sign CW1 or CW2.
4. Board this other yellow bus and pay RM1.10 and keep the ticket properly!
5. Bus will bring you to the Johor checkpoint. Bring all belongings with you. Go through the PASSPORT Machine to have your passport scanned plus your thumb print too.
6. Come out find yellow bus again. Show your previous ticket to the bus conductor.
7. Yellow bus will take you to the Singapore checkpoint. EVerything must bring along. Queue up with your passport ready in hand. Don't wear caps or sunglasses. The officer will scold.
8. Get down and find yellow bus again. Must show previous ticket again!
9. Yellow bus will stop at Kranji MRT and Queen Street. So choose where you want to get off.
10. YOU ARE NOW IN SINGAPORE. THE REST IS UP TO YOU ON WHERE YOU WANT TO GO.

A 10-step process. EASY RIGHT?? The only thing which might piss you off is waiting in queue at the checkpoint during peak hours and also keeping your damn bus ticket. I managed to lose my bus ticket after going through the Singapore checkpoint. Hence, I quickly took my EZLINK card and board up the SBS bus. Wee~ Thank goodness!

The thing about Singapore is that, you spend a lot of time on the MRT. Hehe~ You just sit and wait for it to stop and stop at how many stops. Hrmp~ Anyways, the whole journey from Senai Airport to my sister's place took almost 2 hours. Amazing!! Meaning I spent almost an hour on the MRT!!

For dinner, we had KOLO MEE! Hahha! I brought from Kuching under the request of my sister. After dinner, we went to Holland Village which is dubbed the 'bohemian enclave' of Singapore. Expensive living district, according to my sister. We had the THAI TOM YAM soup at THAI EXPRESS.

It is an annual thing. Having the TOM YAM SOUP has became an annual tradition of mine. Hahaha!! And yes, super clear HOT HOT soup. You have to be really careful while drinking the soup. Choking on it would cause your throat to really feel the pain. Hehe~

Tom YUM!

End of SG trip day 1~ Will continue Day 2~

Cry~~

yomi will not be able to go online much anymore for the moment because something happened to the phone line at home. There's no dial tone. JUST STATIC!! So I can't call out, no calls can come through and I can't go online. Imagine how boring it is!~! *cry*

Ngel says that it happened to a friend of hers. Its been months and Telekom has yet to fix the problem! Does that mean yomi will not be able to go online from home for a few months??? CRAZY!!

Don't care! I will bug Telekom FOREVER til they get it done!! Argh~!!!! Sienz~! Guess where I am now??? IN UNIVERSITY~! In the mid of holidays and I'm back here~! I rather be home with my own laptop where there isn't a bar on certain sites and MSN! The librarian saw I was using e-buddy and was like, "No Chatting" BlaH~ Like that also got.. maybe I should go to the open lab~ No one to bug me there~ SEE!! YUCK! I want be home online not here!

So let me just go cry now~~~~~ *sniff sniff*

3 months....

Wednesday, July 18, 2007
I don't know if this will break or save me. So here I go with all my thoughts I've been saving. So here I go with all my fears weighing down on me. I didn't know.... I could crash and burn. Been a long road since those hands I left my tears in but now I know better.
After 3 months:
- I'm still standing
- I'm getting better
- I still am...
- I'm still breathing
- I still remember it
- I finally woke up...

Murderer

Tuesday, July 17, 2007

I managed to 'kill' a lizzard and ACCIDENTLY killed a dragonfly too. I was in the toilet when I saw this HUGE, FAT LIZZARD. It went behind the mirror, I went out, found the Ridsect, went back in and started spraying behind the mirror NON-STOP. It was suffocating even for me.

Suddenly, the lizzard fell to the floor and started to run around. I continued to spray at it and its movement slowed down. So I decided to give it a little bath. Took some shampoo and put some on the lizzard. It wiggled, wiggled. Then I turned on the shower and showered the lizzard into the drain hole and BYE BYE to lizzard. I had the whole house stinking of Ridsect by then. *oops*

So I was walking around the house in darkness. I heard a dragonfly flying around and the only thing which had a light on was my laptop. So I went over to my laptop to switch it off and close the screen. From what I hear, the dragonfly's wings were buzzing up til the point when I almost fully close my laptop screen.

Since it was dark, I didn't see that the dragonfly stupidly went KAMIKAZE on my laptop. I was wondering why the buzzing noise stopped. So I went to switch on the ceiling lights and put my laptop screen back up. There is was, the DRAGONFLY... on my keyboard. Not moving. I blew at it and it still didn't move. Good thing, I did not fully shut the screen if not, I would have had a SANDWICHED dragonfly on my keyboard. YUCKY!

Hence, I'm a MURDERER. All creepy crawlies should be very afraid of me. I normally murder insects or lizzards without getting my hands dirty. =P And no, I do not even want to pick it up to throw it away after I killed it.

There was once I saw a lizzard at the stairs. I took the Ridsect and sprayed at it. It became blur and fell to the floor. Then it started jumping down each step. So I quickly told my brother to get a plastic bag and put it on the last step so the lizzard would JUMP RIGHT INTO THE BAG. Sure enough, jump jump jump... the lizzard jumped into the plastic bag. I quickly tied the plastic bag and took it out to the park where I threw the plastic bag into the drain and BYE BYE lizzard.

The most common insect that I kill are spiders~ =P There was once I killed 2 spiders in one shower session. I was taking a shower when I saw a spider at the sink. So I took some bath gel and put it on the spider. It wiggled, wiggled and then stopped wiggling. Then using some water, I wash the spider down the drain. *sadistic, no?

No one gets away with looking at me NAKED. NO ONE!! NOT even spiders! Hrmp~!!! So citizens of the world; humans, animals or insects, DO NOT EVER peep on me when I'm naked or I might just give you a shower and drown you down the drain!! Hahaha!!

Will Be Off

Thursday, July 12, 2007

Anyways, I will be off to Singapore in 12 hours and NOPE, I've not started packing. The bag is there in my room but I haven't got my ass down to doing it. Hence, look me is still here online at this hour.

Oh oh, since you're reading this post.. do keep yourself entertained by reading the comments in the post regarding SKYPE! which is just below this post. Someone has chosen to attack me through my blog. Its not entirely fun getting insulted but heck.. this person is typing this with such anger inside as if I have such a GREAT IMPACT on his or her life. Weeehehe~ I actually have such an impact in people's life. WoW.. *roll eyes* ssshhheeessshhh..

Good entertainment?? Funny how rumours can turn people angry. Wooo~ Me scared.. Pengz~ First of, as if I invented the rumours, so come blaming me for shit I didn't do. Secondly, the person even said.. "I'm glad I don't know you in real life".. Come on. Haha! You don't know me. Haha! I know WHY YOU DON'T KNOW ME IN REAL LIFE!! THAT'S BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT EVEN IN KUCHING!! Hahaha!! Pengz~ =) wooo hoo.. Funny how I can even have people hating me all the way from another country??? Wow~ I'm amazed!! ROFLMAO!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

Sides even if you know me in real life, would I care what you think?? I've said it once and I'll say it again..

"Don't care about the people who hate you because obviously they mean nothing to you".

Those haters can hate all they want, if you let them get to you... you obviously aren't strong enough. So leave em' haters behind and let them rot in their anger and anguish. Sides, girls just love to gossip. Its a full-time hobby. Inevitable. But I do know a few guys who seriously gossip as badly as girls. LOL!

Why live life worrying about what the hell the world thinks of you? Sure, once a while someone pisses you off, I'm sure you piss people too. Sometimes intentionally or unintentionally. Either ways, if you can get pass it.. then SORRY. That's just it.

Hehe.. the whole attack me thing is funny!! anyways, I'm gonna laugh all the way to Singapore with this. Thank you for making my day. This is better than the comic strips in the newpapers. Hahahahahaha!!! =P ByeB! Do miss me!! Hahaha!! Will be back to ROCK my blog up with Wars of Words!! W.O.W. hhahaha!! LOL!!!

SKYPE!

Wednesday, July 11, 2007

I LOVE SKYPE! It keeps me connected to anyone around the world! I use it to talk to my sister and friends~! Connection with my sister in Singapore isn't as stable as with friends in Melbourne though. I managed to talk for 30minutes plus with a friend in Melbourne with no connection problem at all. To top it off, I was on WIRELESS in the comfort of my own room!! It feels great to be able to catch up with old friends. The best part about it is when you are still able to talk so much even after all the years~ =)

NOW, go download SKYPE! and try it out for yourself!!

SKYPE ROCKS TO THE MAX!

ARE YOU SKYPE-D YET???

Lies, Deceit and Hypocrisy

Tuesday, July 10, 2007

Have you ever been in a situation where you think you know a person well enough but somehow it just isn't enough? Does it scares you sometimes that a person you know isn't what he or she seem? Or even worse, you don't know if what the person says is the truth because when you try to fix all the puzzle together, everything doesn't add up??

I guess my problem is that I will never fully trust what a person say and I will always try to find the truth in what a person say before actually believing those statements made. But, damn... it scares me. Like if you knew this person could make up stories and tell you lies, how would you be able to ever trust the person?

The person seem so nice in front of you and tell you supposedly everything... but somehow those statements made by the person has no backup at all especially when I myself try to find out the truth behind those statements. Imagine my surprise when I find out what the person said is not true. Then it becomes disappointment. =(

How am I suppose to trust a person who tell lies and make up stories as a hobby? Most of the time I am honest and I hate lying so I will end up telling the truth because I'm too damn lazy to lie. Lying is not easy, you know. With one lie, you have to make sure you remember everything you said and up keep those lies. Too much memory work for me.

Even more confusing, don't you ever wish you could get all the people together and set things straight on the table?? Like who am I suppose to believe??? I can't choose one side only. Listening to both side doesn't really solve anything. I wish I could sit these people down and see how they bicker at each other regarding what is the truth!

Lately, I just find it hard to trust people. I miss the days when I was a good judge of people and the people who are still my good friends after all these years are really great people whom I trust because they are just who they are. Not pretending when they are with me. Why do people pretend? Why be fake?? It is so preposterous!! So confusing... I'm just disappointed. I just find people who lie for a hobby = SCARY! You never know how much lies they feed you with and then worst of all, what if they are lying behind your back about you???!!! *shivers in fear!!*

If a person can backstab his or her own best friend... telling others very unkind things, what more do you think that person will say about a friend whom he or she recently met?? I mean wouldn't it bother you that this person can treat his or her best friend like that? Do you think this person would treat you any nicer? That will sure scare the hell out of me and it still IS!!

Lie once to me, first mistake.. let it go.
Lie twice.. Oookkk.
Third time you lie to me? You can kiss goodbye me believing in whatever you say anymore.

How ironic is it when you hate people lying to you but yet you are the one lying to others??
