    Top 10 Favourite Lyrics

    Thursday, April 20, 2006
In the news today there's this poll, conducted by the British music industry on the most favourite lyric from a song. Among the favoured lyrics are Coldplay's "Yellow" ("Look at the stars, look how they shine for you") and Robbie William's "Angels" ("And through it all she offers me protection, a lot of love and affection, whether I'm right or wrong").

I was tagged by Ronnie to post this up. He had a few songs that I actually like. We do have some common ground there. So I went through all the songs in my hard disk to find the best top 10 lyrics. At first it was pretty hard as all the songs that I'm currently listening to are either Korean or Classical. Hehhe~

Here's my Top 10 Favourite Lyrics:

    1. The Pussycat Dolls - Beep
    ("I don't give a...Keep looking at my...")

    2. Van Morrison - Dancing In The Moonlight
("Dancing in the moonlight. Everybodys feeling warm and bright")

    3. Joy Enriquez - How Can I Not Love You
("How do I not miss you when you are goneHow can I not love you")

    4. Howie Day - Collide
("You make a first impression.I've found I'm scared to know I'm always on your mind.")

    5. Juliet The Orange - Quizzical
("Is this what you truly want for a girlfriend? Or am I just someone you find pretty cute for a good time?")

    6. Ewan Mcgregor & Nicole Kidman - Come What May
("Come what may............ I will love you until my dying day.")

    7. Disney All Star - A Dream Is A Wish
("A dream is a wish your heart makesWhen you're fast asleep")

    8. Anyone Who Had A Heart - Dionne Warwick
("Anyone who had a heart. Would take me in his arms and love me, too.")

    9. Lisa Ono - The Girl From Ipanema
("Tall and tan and young and lovely. The girl from ipanema goes walking") [Translated]

    10. Give My Love - Edward Chun
("When I look in your eyes I can see that you want to be with me but you're so scared")

Those were the songs which I actually searched for the lyrics when I first downloaded it. Some are because I find the lyrics nice but I couldn't get what the rest of the song was about. Some were because *AHEM* I wanted to sing along. HEhehe~ =P

I tag Jason Chang, Benjamin Moh & Anna Bella for this. =P Something to keep em' busy! =)

    Pride & Prejudice

    Pride & Prejudice

    Mr. Darcy & Elizabeth Bennet

    Ms Bennets

Just a few days I had an urge to just download any movie that I missed out at the cinemas since there was suddenly so much space in my hard disk. The only one that I could think of that day was 'Pride & Prejudice'.
Based on Jane Austen's beloved novel, the classic tale of love and values unfolds in the class-conscious England of the late 18th century. The five Bennet sisters - including strong-willed Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) and young Lydia (Jena Malone) - have all been raised by their mother (Brenda Blethyn) with one purpose in life: finding a husband. When a wealthy bachelor takes up residence in a nearby mansion, the Bennets are abuzz.
Amongst the man's sophisticated circle of friends, surely there will be no shortage of suitors for the Bennet sisters. But when Elizabeth meets up with the handsome and - it would seem - snobbish Mr. Darcy (Matthew Macfadyen), the battle of the sexes is joined.
It just goes to show that you can never judge a person by how he or she seems but rather get to know the person before judging. Only then, will you know of how the person really is. And also don't let your pride get in the way of getting to know a person better.
Starring: Keira Knightley, Matthew Macfadyen, Rosamund Pike, Simon Woods, etc.
    Genre: Drama/ Romance
    Duration: 127 minutes
    Soundtrack: Pride & Prejudice
    Ratings: 7/10
Last few minutes cut: Mrs. Darcy
Remarks: Great romantic movie. The version I downloaded had censored off the kissing scene! ArgH!! What an outrage!
'Sometimes the last person on earth you want to be with
is the one person you can't be without
    .'

    Group S [Lee Ji-Hoon]

    Sunday, April 16, 2006
Shin Hye-Sung, Lee Ji-Hoon and Kangta

    Group S

Group S is a group made out of 3 Korean guys. Each with a background of career in the celebrity world. Group S consists of Lee Ji-Hoon, Kangta and Shin Hye-Sung. Their first album is called 'Project Album S' which was released in the year 2003.
Out of 3 of them, I would say Lee Ji-Hoon looks to die for. He has such yummy looking lips. Hahha~!! He starred in Wonderful Life as Min Do-Hyun, a rich guy who has everything he can get but his family background is much more complicated than it seems.
Kangta and Shin Hye-Sung looks like any other guy from 5566 or F4. Kangta's cheek seems too deep. Shin Hye-Sung has no extra-ordinary trait in his looks. Too common for me. Ordinary Ah Bengs more like it. No offence to Ah Bengs out there but Ah Bengs are just not my taste. =P
Their most recent video, 'I Was' from their first album is nice. Sure there's lots of talking rather than singing but if a guy comes up to me and speak in Korean with that soft, nice and calming voice, my heart would melt then and there. I love guys in suits!! They look smart, tidy and great! =P
    Here's the video, 'I Was' - Group S
Enjoy the video and the song. =)

    Wonderful Life

    Lee Ji-Hoon, Eugene, Kim Jae-Won, Han Eu-Jeong

Lee Ji-Hoon as Min Do Hyun

    Lee Ji-Hoon!!

Which comes first? Love or responsibility? In this Korean drama series, Wonderful Life shows what happen when responsibility is thrust upon two immature, not-so-ready-to-grow-up young adults. Both of them want to pursue their own dreams and pursue their own lovers but all that had to be stopped for a new life was created.

I've recently spent one whole week watching Wonderful Life and I find it rather hilarious but most of the time I was crying buckets! The show begins with the two main character, Han Seung Wan and Jung Se Jin on board a flight to Singapore. They actually filmed it in Singapore!
Han Seung Wan was on his way to meet his girlfriend, Lee Chae-Young but due to him bumping in Se-Jin, they accidently swapped passports and the twist of fun comes along. Han Seung Wan was heartbroken when he found out that his girlfriend was two-timing him with Min Do-Hyun. So together Seung Wan and Se Jin explores Singapore together and console each other.
Due to a one night stand, Se Jin becomes pregnant and for being a catholic, she didn't want to have an abortion. When the news that Han Shin Bi is Seung Wan's daughter, his whole life was turned upside down. They got married not because of love but responsibility. Can both Se Jin and Seung Wan live together and put aside their disagreement and have a Wonderful Life?
Starring: Kim Jae-Won, Eugene, Lee Ji-Hoon, Han Eu-Jeong
    Distribution: MBC Production
    Episodes: 16
    Rating: 4/5
    Wonderful Life OST:
Remarks: I highly recommend this. Don't even think of having sex when you can't take responsibility for your actions. You'll know what problems lie ahead in this korean drama.

'With love comes responsibility. Loving someone is about being responsible for your own feelings and your own decisions. Loving someone is agreeing to take responsibility for yourself and the person you love.'

    Birthday Mum

    Monday, April 10, 2006
It has been a great weekend for my tummy. =P Starting with Friday night.
I went out Friday night to have dinner with Mike, Julian, Bert and Darrel which later after that we went to The Colors for a drink meeting up with Hazwan and Soffian there. They have become really loyal customers, going there at least once a week. I bet the waiters and waitresses recognizes them. It has only been my third time there and I've grown to like the place.
The Colors is situated opposite the Buddhist temple at Jalan Laksamana Ang Cheng Ho. Its at the end of the block where Slimming Sanctuary is. You have a choice of sitting outside for smokers and indoor for those who like the air-conditioning and light music.
The Colors serves local and western dishes. Finger food like onion rings and wedges are great for supper. They have a wide variety of drinks like coffee, juices, soft drinks, beer, milk shakes and smoothies. The place is lighted dimly for a relaxing time while catching up with your friends.
Moving on, I spent Saturday preparing dinner for my mum's birthday. I didn't have idea of what to get her for her birthday so I told her I would try cooking for her. =P The menu on Saturday was simple, for starters we have Cream of Chicken and Mushroom soup. For the main course, we have spaghetti bolognese and a side dish of Fruit Salad (Ben calls it OCHI PALA salad since I had more than fruits inside. =P ) .
I started at around 4.30pm preparing dinner and we only managed to eat at 8pm. By then I was already so hungry~ I'm so slow... Well it was my first attempt to cook everything. Hehehe~ Luckily, it taste all yummy but rich~
Sunday night, I had actually planned to go to Elephant for dinner to celebrate my mum's birthday again =P but the place was close for a private function :( I thought I could sink my teeth into that tasty steak. So we moved to Thymes in Chonglin Park.
I ordered the Lamb Chop in Mushroom Sauce again and actually finished the veggies and potatoes. I think because the portion of the meat has grown smaller. *sadness* My mum had Fish and Chips. I personally do not like chips as they tend to hurt my palate. Thymes are so generous with the chips.
So in short, my tummy had a great weekend. Not forgetting my tongue. HAhaa~ I still have left over spaghetti and salad, I'll sink my teeth into those later. Hungry again~
Well, I've started going back to piano lessons but with additional aural class and improvisation class. Practical and improvisation class is alright since I roughly know what I have to do but aural class... that reminds me I have to sit at the piano longer.
I should get to studying music history soon~ Oh, the pain my head will have. Bye bye~

    Cravings for SUDOKU

    Thursday, April 06, 2006
So here I am again, bored to my bones. This week has been really slow for me. My schedule has been pretty empty and that gives me lots of time to just laze on my lazy bum. At least I've been to the gym and been reading lots. Not to mention my sudden craving for SUDOKU which can be found in Eastern Times, the new newspaper in town.

Each Sudoku has a unique solution that can be reached logically without guessing. Enter digits from 1 to 9 into the blank spaces. Every row must contain one of each digit. So must every column, as must every 3x3 square. You can try it online or you can even print it out. The puzzles online are much more simple than the ones in Eastern Times. Eastern Times has the 'Four of A Kind' puzzles which takes a much longer time to solve.

Sudoku is far much easier than doing crossword puzzles but much harder than word search. At least something new to keep me busy for now other than my piano, aural and improvisation class which I'm starting tomorrow in preparation for hopefully any audition for any University which I have applied for. It is better to be prepared than not at all.

Anyways, short post for today~ I better get to some rest, I know tomorrow I will be in lots of pain due to lack of sleep, sore muscles and too much thinking.

    Annoyed To The Max

    Sunday, April 02, 2006

    I feel annoyed.

    I hate pesky idiots.

    I hate annoying people.

I hate being your punching bag.

I hate having to listen to you whine ever so often.

I hate it when you have to be right always, no matter what.

I hate it when you ask for an opinion and then deliberately reject the opinion and insist that it should be your way EVERY SINGLE TIME. (So what is the point on asking me again?)

I hate it when you are so tactless and say things without thinking of others.

I hate it when all you think about is yourself and how the world is unfair to you.

I hate it when you get all fired up and raise your voice at me like its my fault that there's a traffic jam or a jerk on the road.

I hate it when I have to shut myself up to put up with your tactlessness.

So why must I put up with you when you don't even bother or rather you don't know that your ways are only driving people up the wall!!

If whining and complaining can help to better your situation then by all means do so but if it does not, please don't ruin my day! I, myself is stressed out and I'm trying to keep myself from feeling any more worse but people like you is making it SO DAMN IT hard.
