Here In Singapore

Wednesday, November 30, 2005
Yes.. after the long awaited vacation, I'm finally here in Singapore again. This time it is for 6 days only. All in all, I only had one hour sleep. I tossed and turned but I just couldn't sleep. Maybe because I was excited and thinking too much of what I have to do once I wake up. I finally fell asleep at arounf 5am but I woke up at 6.09am. The moment I picked up my phone to see the time, the alarm rang. Defeats the whole purpose of having the alarm clock on.
I just learnt something new about myself. I dislike waiting in queues. It makes me feel annoyed and I just can't stand still. At the immigration, there were four lines. I thought, "Hey, that line seems short. It won't take long." WRONG. It took so long. The group of people in front of me apparently were not Malaysian and the lady at the counter like wanna check their passports thoroughly just in case they are terrorist, I think. Oh goodness me, they are just teenagers with their parents. A total of 7 people in that family. Big family.
Anyways, I was using Airasia. Free sitting. So I just sat somewhere in the middle of the plane. The mean point of gravity. Suppose to be the most stable point. Hehe.. The last to get into the plane was Catharine Kho. Well, I didn't know at first but she seemed familiar. She seemed pretty jumbled up when she got in. So I just offered her the seat next to mine.
It took me ages just to start a conversation with her. I was so tempted to ask her if she was going to Johor or Singapore. I finally got the chance when we saw a steward and a stewardess trying to sell their in-flight gifts and she target a little girl. She didn't even ask the mother, she just started waving the teddy in front of the girl. What a tactic. Mean, mean.
Catharine and I giggled. Then I ask finally asked her. She said she was going to Singapore. Wee.. Big relief at least someone else will be going to Singapore. At least I would have someone to talk to. She asked if me I happen to be Naomi. I was like "Um... yes, do I know you?" She reminded me, "Primary school ST Teresa" My memory is so bad but I do know she looks familiar. I'm bad with names and faces.
We talked throughout the flight. I don't even remember paying attention when the plane landed. I don't like flying. Anyways, she said during a recent barbeque she went, her friends from Batu Lintang school asked her if she knows me. Apparently those dudes still remembers me. Haha.. She said what a coincidence it is to meet me on the flight.
Wee..... She had lived in Johor for four years so she knows her way around pretty well. She speaks West Malaysian's BM well. Both of us had to take the shuttle bus down to Singapore. When we reached the checkpoint, we separated since she had to go to Woodlands and I have to go to Kranji Station. It was great to have someone to talk to all the way.
I reached Kranji and popped into This Fashion while waiting for my sister but I was too tired to look at the clothes so I waited outside. My sister came after 30 minutes. We had lunch at Siam Kitchen in Jurong Point. I had the pineapple rice with seafood while my sister had a bowl of tom yum seafood noodles.
We went back to her hostel and left my bag there then we were off to Bugis, Sim Lim Square. A whole complex dedicated for electronics. Every stores is either selling computers, laptops, cameras, TV, speakers, phones or computer parts. Somethings are pretty cheap but some things are better off buying it back in Kuching. My sister had to send her old laptop to fix and hopefully once it is fixed it shall become mine. MUAHAHAHA
We stopped by OG and look-see many things. Window shopping. HEhe.. Then we went to Suntec City by walking. Long Long walk. 35 minutes I think. We took many turns and made rounds around buildings. Tiring. We went to Crystal Jade for dinner. I had La Mian with Minced Pork in Wanton while my sister had Beef Stew La Mian. She also ordered dumplings which has juice inside.
Suntec City has this big water fountain and lights. Its called the Fountain of Wealth. During the day time, you can touch the water and walk around the well 3 times and you will have good wealth in future. They gave instructions on a board but too bad I couldn't do it because at night the water fountain is turned on big and if you go in the middle you'd be splashed wet. They have great music on and you can even dedicate a song. Cool place to go a for nice date. Sit on the bench and watch the lights and water.
Believe it? On the first day in Singapore, I've already spent S$50. Pain~~ I don't even spend that much in Malaysian ringgit in Kuching on normal days. Anyways, I should go now. I'm sorry I have no pictures to put up. My sister's camera has a problem. Resistance too high that it takes up energy like a sponge sucking up water. Most probably caused by humidity. Hrmp!
Have to go now. Bye bye. Take care. Will be back to write about my trip.

Me On Vacation

I'll be on my way to Singapore in about 7 hours time. My flight is at 8.50am. I have to wake up at 6am to go for breakfast with my family first and off I'll go. Wish me luck because I dislike flying and I get air sickness. I can't even breathe with my nose because I will feel like throwing up. I will have to breathe with my mouth throughout the flight.
I'll be away for 6 days and will be back on Monday next week. So please do miss me cause I'll miss you guys too. Hehe... =P Anything important if you need to sms me you can sms to +6016 --- ----. Since I'll be on roaming, the +6016 is very important. I can only receive sms that way. I can sms back with my sis' handphone. There is another way, you can just email me. I'll try go online everyday. I'll be checking my email. So just drop me an email if you have to. It is so easy to stay in touch isn't it?
Everyone take care and have a great holiday. I'll be back to post more things and I want to be updated about the case of the Chinese national lady and our stupid police officers. The Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Musa Hassan can just resign. He make a bad bad leader. Very stupid comments on the case. He said to the press, “It is the perpetrator behind the video footage whom we are after and not the policewoman, who was carrying out a routine check.”
Routine check, who can believe that when the footage obviously showed the Chinese lady strip and do squats. What routine check is that? What he meant to say is the police officers ridicule people and make them do degrading things as a routine check?? How interesting.. I would want to do a routine check on him and tell him to do all that. He was never treated that way, how would he know how it would feel. Idiot.
Anyways, I'm going on holiday. I should not think so much about that and enjoy my holiday. I shouldn't let that stupid scum ruin my holiday. Everyone be very careful with police and just don't get caught by them. They are mean mean people. Cannot trust them. Be good and take care. Bye bye.
Love lots, yomI

Malaysia: A big lie to the World

Sunday, November 27, 2005
You always hear that Malaysia is famous for its multi-cultural race, unity and harmony. The world seems to believe we live in a peaceful place where everyone from other religion can come together and live happily together. It is only true for a small number of people here who lives in the country. I remembered a few months back, I read in the newspaper that our Prime Minister was going to give advice to other country leaders on how Malaysia is able to live peacefully although they are many different culturals and religions. I was laughing in my head because I know that he's only lying or maybe he is just too blind to see the real truth.
I can't say much unless everyone approves for me to say because even I myself dislike the truth. It is because everyone else hates the truth that we simply ignore and push it aside. Some of us just has to shut up and give in to rude and cocky people who claims they own the country because of their religion. I was told that the ancestors of Malays actually originated from South China. I don't know how true but I hate it whenever there is a fight between races, the Malays will always tell the Chinese to go back to China if they hate staying in Malaysia.
There was a particular meeting which stood out from the rest in July, 2005. The ones where you can here, Malay Ministers shouting "Eh..Malaysia ini negara Islam, You tidak suka, You keluar dari Malaysia". Why have seats ready for other oppossing parties when you don't want to listen to them? Only have them there to sit and watch you rule the country? We will never go far, that is all I can say. The Malays takes too much pride about them being the ones who own the country that they fail to see why in the first Malaysia can grow. It will take them years to understand.
Check out this video : Parlimen Meeting
It gets worse when it comes to Malays with certain powers. Police officers. They have the power in their hands to treat you however they like. Anything you say is of no use because they won't listen to you. Corruption and abuse is very common. My maid told my mum once that the police raided the place they were staying. When the police went off, the maids found out that their handphones and money were not around. Obviously, the police took them. Disgraceful. Poor maids from Indonesia. They came here hoping to find a job and live well but only to get their hopes shattered to pieces by people of the LAW. There was one case where you can see a Malay police officer telling a Chinese national girl to strip and do squats naked in the jail. That police officer must be sick in her head! I would want to tell her to strip and do squats and see how she feels!
Check out this video: Abused
In Malaysia, you can say the word JUSTICE but you can't get it. Justice is only for those who claim to own the country not those living in it. Never get caught by a police officer from Malaysia because they are a bunch of horrible people. They are not the law but still we Malaysian's fear them. In Australia, the Australian's fear the law not the police. In Malaysia, we fear the police not the law. They treat you so badly. I know of a lady who is a converted Islam. She's from the Phillipines so she don't look Malaysian, you know. She took a flight from Kuching to KL. At the immigration, the officer stop her and said she forged her passport. So she had to be kept in jail until they have enough evidence. The husband in Kuching had to find all the documents that belonged to her. She stayed in jail for almost a week, if I'm not mistaken. When it was all over, the officers did not even say sorry for making such a mistake, as if it was her fault to look not like a Malaysian though she has already been given her PR. That poor lady, it must have torturous to be in there for a week.
I'm not saying all Malays are bad. I have Malay friends and I think they are great people but I know that they are many out there who are not as friendly and nice like them. It is quite obvious in an all boys school where you can see one group of Malays and one group of Chinese start quarrelling. It is sad but true. We always deny the truth, hoping it will just buzz off but it won't. It just makes matters worse.
I've met annoying, pesky Chinese too who think they are great and all. For a Chinese myself, I've been told I am not a Chinese until I know how to speak Mandarin. The nerve these people have. I get so annoyed myself. Everyone takes too much pride in what race they are but they forget that you are just the same people who live on the planet called Earth. All are just homo-sapiens.
I just hope that more people will realize that although we are from different races, we are just the same just in different shapes and sizes or colours for that matter. Words like saying you own the country because you are Islam isn't nice. Imagine you live in Singapore and a Singaporean says this to you "I'm Singaporean, I own this country, you balik Malaysia." I'm sure you won't like it too. Sometimes people says things without thinking. You just feel like whacking them in the head to wake them up.
I better stop. I'm sorry if I have offended any of you but it is the truth. I hope you all are open-minded enough to understand.
Signing off,
yomI

Christmas Is Coming~!

Friday, November 25, 2005
I'm already in the mood for Christmas. So for this week, I have Christmas song on by Mariah Carey called 'All I Want For Christmas'. It is also the soundtrack for the movie 'Love Actually'. It is a great Christmas movie with exception of nudity and foul languages.

Artist: Mariah Carey
Title: All I Want For Christmas Is You

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true ...
All I want for Christmas
Is you ...

I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come treu
All I want for Christmas is you ...
You baby

I won't ask for much this Christmas
I won't even wish for snow
I'm just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe
I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
I won't even stay awake to
hear those magic reindeer click
'Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do
Baby all I want for Christmas is you
You ...

All the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere
And the sound of children's
Laughter fills the air
And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won't you bring me the one
I really need - won't you please
Bring my baby to me ...
Oh I don't want a lot for Christmas
This is all I'm asking for
I just want to see my baby
Standing right outside my door
Oh I just want him for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
Baby all I want for Christmas
Is you ...

All I want for Christmas
Is you baby
Is you baby

Fun Day Out

Thursday, November 24, 2005

Look at Hermione. She looks so pretty!

Cedric, he looks yummy!!

Both of em' talking.

Harry Potter! Looking good with glasses.

The beautiful Hermione! Love the HAIR!!

I went out the whole day today. It was fun but tiring too not to mention freezing cold. I'll bring out my jacket the next time I go to the city. I'm never leaving it behind ever again. Today's outing was planned by Bernard. He's a great planner for a start. They are a few things which I found rather amusing today but unfortunately I can't write about it for public to read as I'll be breaking a promise I made. Quite sad as I think today's event was very sweet and nice.
I'll go straight to the movies then. First off, we watched 'Chicken Little' at 2pm. I was skeptical about it at first since I was just telling my sister before that they don't make fairy tale cartoons like they used to. The few that I like was ' Cinderella' and 'Sleeping Beauty'. I remembered watching it over and over every week when I was young eventhough I know the story well.
'Chicken Little' turned out to be totally hilarious. It certainly has proven me wrong but its no fairy tale. It is pretty short. One hour and 15 minutes including trailers of other movies. Star Cineplex was full like every other Wednesday.
After that, we had tea at Tun Jugah. Bernard was so sweet to get the drinks and SUSHI too! You all know that I have just this obsession with SUSHI. They are like totally favourite dish although too much wasabi can certainly make me cry. Julian made bad faces when he tried the maki and salmon with the wasabi. He never tried before. I should have put a lot of wasabi into the piece he was taking as a revenge for all the offending remarks I get or for all the times he just annoys me. HeHE.. =P
At around 5.30pm, we went over to Elephant in Jln. Ang Cheng Ho. Its a western food outlet. Very nice, cozy place to go to. Nicely decorated too. Fadzilla and I had spaghetti bolognese, Julian had meat ball and spaghetti bolognese while Bernard had a roast chicken sandwich. The portion of the spaghetti was big. The only thing which I didn't like was the watery sauce at the bottom but the big chuck of beef on the top of the spaghetti made it more delicious. So thank the chuck of meat. I like Julian's meat balls. I didn't get to try Bernard's sandwich, though I thought it was big and filled with meat. Looks yummy!!!! I'm feeling hungry again.
For our drinks, I had Pina Colada. The pineapple was a bit too thick. Fadzilla had a chocolate drink with chocolate chips on top. It looked very chocolatety. Julian's ice lemon tea looked like a mug of beer since the mug was as big as a mug for beer. I recommend to go there. I think I'll go back there next week to try other dishes. Oh... how in love I am with food!!! ~llllloooovvveeee~
We met Fadzilla's parents at Elephant. What a coincidence. We rushed to pick Soffian and we headed for Star Cineplex again. It was packed with people. Bernard got good seats. Right in the middle. I should remember that row so I know where to sit next time in cineplex 3 for a good view. We were gonna watch 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'.
Well, I'm not really a big fan of Harry Potter. Never picked up the books to read when I saw everyone reading it but I can seriously say the movie was good. The effects, the characters and all that magic. I love magic. I wish I have magic but that would definitely make me very lazy and greedy. I guess it's only my dreams. Anyways, I thought Harry Potter was great. He's quite good looking though next to Cedric Diggory, Cedric looks yummy! =P Hermione Granger looks so adorable and beautiful on the night of the ball. Any guy would be nuts to say she's not beautiful.
I'm not going into details as I don't want to spoil the movie for those who hasn't watch. Right after the movie, we all rushed down the stairs so we could avoid the long queue to pay for the parking fee. Everyone else waited for the lift. So it made queue-ing for us easy. A tip for you all movie-goers, be quick after a movie. Don't linger around like everyone else unless you want to get stuck in the long queue.
That's all for my fun day out. A great day out wouldn't be great without the right company and proper planning. This time, Bernard planned everything nicely. We didn't have any troubles. I practically just enjoyed myself. Totally relaxing but not the part when I got a stiff neck after the movies. Hope to have more of those outings in weeks to come. I guess that's all from me!

Bye bye, Take care,
yomI

Finish & Done With

Wednesday, November 23, 2005
STPM is officially over for me! I'm so relief but I feel bad too because I don't think I did that good in any of the papers. I would really fear the day I get my results. Oh.... let that day never come!! Today's paper, PHYSICS. I think that's the last time I'll ever think about PHYSICS. Never again will I use it in my everyday life. At least, I think so.
I feel terribly tired now. Totally drenched out. Dried to the very last drop. I should rejuvenate for these few days so I can enjoy my trip to Singapore next week. Time really pass by fast. Soon, it'll be Christmas and New Year. Gosh... that's awfully quick.
I'm totally free now other than my own projects of my own which I have lined up for me in case I don't have anything to do. I've already done one of it today. Packing all papers for recycle. I shall try to do the books tomorrow. Books will pack to sale not recycle. So anyone looking for Form Six books you can look for me. I'm selling them cheap. Can't bother to keep them at home any longer. It'll be too tempting for me to check through and see how many stupid crap I wrote for STPM.
As you've noticed, I've changed the outlook of my blog. Its a bit too black isn't it? It took me about 3 hours straight. Tiring but I think I know more about HTML codes now. My brother told me to use Microsoft Frontpage but I got a bigger headache trying to figure out how to use. Easier just play testing on every single code. HAHA..
Do tell me what you think about it. I would like to hear from your point of view. This is the first one which is presentable enough. So I'm open for any opinion on it. If I have a lot of free time, I'll start making another and another and another. Making sure everything fits well, size, fonts, colour... it takes a lot of time and clicking.
Anyways, I have to go now. I wanna go cook my supper!!! YummY!
Sincerely,
yomI

Plan my trip to Singapore and Damai. If not, second on my list... I'll just start piling up all my books for sale or recycle. Time to clear up my room and the computer room. Something About 1%

Thursday, November 17, 2005
I know I'm not suppose to be obsessed with anything new for just a few more days but just awhile ago, I was watching TV with my dad. 'Something About 1%' was on TV2. I rarely watch it as I always have to go out for tuition or sleeping away my evenings. When I do get to watch is only like half an hour of it.

Anyways, I find it really nice. It is in Korean by the way. Good thing that they didn't record the mandarin version over the original voices like they always do. I prefer the original voices eventhough I don't understand it.
The main actor is Kang Dong Won who plays Lee Jae-in, a rich and smart guy who's grandfather left behind a will but under the condition that he marries Da-hyung, an ordinary teacher who helped his grandfather on the subway. In the end, Jae-in falls in love with Da-hyung but other girls who just don't understand why a rich man like him would go after a normal girl like her. Totally hilarious and funny.
At times he looks blur and goofy but even then he still looks good me. *drooling* Hehe... In the series, he can sometimes be so childish but at times he can be suddenly so serious. He drives a nice, nice Mercedez. *yummY* Haha..
Hopefully Mike isn't reading this. Having him reading about me drooling over someone else has got to be offending but there is a big chance where he would laugh about it or even laugh at me for being so silly. Hehehehe...
Anyways, I have to go now. I've got two more brain-twisting paper to go and then I'll be free~!~! Maths Paper 2 was from hell. I wonder who set those questions~!~! Hai~~ Must go now.
Bye bye, Take care

Here's a soundtrack from 'Something About 1%'. You can just download it.

The Time Has Come

Friday, November 11, 2005
YES! The time has come. The most dreaded time in Form 6 is here to stay for at least 10 days. Today is only the first day. One down, 9 more days to go. It is not all 10 days we have papers but in those 10 days, we'll be suffering, trying to finish what we study, revise as much as possible.
The biology students has already finish their biology paper. They can now concentrate on PA, Maths 2 and Chemistry. I still have to concentrate on all 4 subject. PEnG~ Why didn't they put Physics paper with Biology paper too. Hrmp~!
Chemistry is bound to be a dead end for me. I've barely finish it. Talk about Inorganic Chemistry. Bla~~ Not like I know the Physical and Organic Chem book that well. PA paper, hopefully I am good enough to shoot. I shall be using my 'Silencer Gun'. Hehe ... and hope my targetting is good. KiDDINg!!~! I won't shoot. I'll be the little angel there, thinking carefully before I mark my answer. HEhe...
Let's hope the Physics paper will be nice on me. I'll try to understand as much as I can. I really regret not studying and preparing much earlier for this. Last week, I realized I like making my stupid notes and suddenly it hit me that after STPM I wouldn't have anything to do and that doesn't sound so nice. I actually thought I would miss studying all this. Crazy~~ I think the study bug has got to me. I wish it got to me much much earlier.
Anyways, I have to go now. I can't stay here anymore. I wanna eat, hopefully study some more today. Even after a 3 hours sleep, I feel horrible plus my nightmare didn't help either. I guess nightmares are there to make your fears come to life.
Good BYE, Good LucK to aLL~!

Kelly Clarkson

Monday, November 07, 2005
Artist: Kelly Clarkson
Album: Breakaway
Title: Behind These Hazel Eyes
___________________________________________________________
Seems like just yesterday
You were a part of me
I used to stand so tall
I used to be so strong
Your arms around me tight
Everything, it felt so right
Unbreakable, like nothin' could go wrong
Now I can't breatheNo, I can't sleep
I'm barely hanging on
Here I am, once again
I'm torn into pieces
Can't deny it, can't pretend
Just thought you were the one
Broken up, deep inside
But you won't get to see the tears I cry
Behind these hazel eyes
I told you everything
Opened up and let you in
You made me feel alright
For once in my life
Now all that's left of me
Is what I pretend to be
So together, but so broken up inside'
Cause I can't breathe
No, I can't sleep
I'm barely hangin' on
Here I am, once again
I'm torn into pieces
Can't deny it, can't pretend
Just thought you were the one
Broken up, deep inside
But you won't get to see the tears I cry
Behind these hazel eyes
Swallow me then spit me out
For hating you, I blame myself
Seeing you it kills me now
No, I don't cry on the outside
Anymore...
Here I am, once again
I'm torn into pieces
Can't deny it, can't pretend
Just thought you were the one
Broken up, deep inside
But you won't get to see the tears I cry
Behind these hazel eyes
Here I am, once again
I'm torn into pieces
Can't deny it, can't pretend
Just thought you were the one
Broken up, deep inside
But you won't get to see the tears I cry
Behind these hazel eyes
I think Kelly Clarkson looks really good in this music video. I love the wedding dress (a bit bare though) and her hair!! Her outfit which is wore while singing in the forest with the band is so bare. Sini sana got flesh. The part she was on the ground wet wet with the wedding dress so menyakitkan hati cause the dress so white and she go play there wet wet dirty. Think people so easy wanna wash ah? Hai~
Gotta go. STPM starts on FRIDAY, 11 November. Die~ From then its 10 days of torture but after that... weeeeeeeee.... long holiday~~!~! I can't wait!~! Bye bye, take care.
Good Luck, Study smart and HARD. People always say don't study hard, why not both? =P
