Independence Palace

The last day of school before holidays~ Normal scenario - Spot check and after school duty. We had a spot check during the first period. It was only a few days ago that we had a spot check on all the form 6 classes. This spot check will be the last spot check that the old prefectorial board will be doing. Boo~ Hoo~

Anyways, its the second time for me to spot check class 4E. Annoying boys. I recognized the same boy who I always suspect that he brings something illegal. We didn't find much. The most was a VCD case with a paper note 'Bang Bus'. It was only last week that Ronnie, Ignatius and Jason explained to me what 'Bang Bus' meant. Such corrupted minds~

I spent my afternoon at home doing.. I can't remember. I remember reading the Sarawak Club circular. The one article that caught my attention was on wine. How the wine neutralizes the taste of food. Didn't really finish it as I was interrupted a couple of times. I took a half an hour nap when suddenly I woke up to a phone call. It was Anas. I couldn't really catch what she was saying but she was worried about Julian. She said that her father called her saying Julian's head got a crack as translated from 'Palak Julian pecah'.

I started making calls trying to get confirmation from Julian's friends or himself but since I couldn't get Julian at home or on his handphone as I heard his handphone rang the moment his brother was about to hang up the house phone. So I thought I would just wait a bit later to try calling again.

I got ready to go out for dinner with Sebastian. It was suppose to be at 7pm but it turns out to be 7.30pm. I was already really hungry. The moment I got into the car, Sebastian was explaining why he was late. Turns out he was at school at the gym. So he told me bout what happen to Julian. It was only a cut but it wouldn't stop bleeding so the guys sent him to hospital for stitching.

Sebastian said that we were going to have dinner at 'Independence Palace'. I wasn't familiar with the name so I asked if I was under-dressed as I only wore a simple top, jeans and a pair of slippers. He said it was ok but from the looks of how he was dressed, a long sleeve collar shirt and nice black shoes didn't make me feel relief.

He took a turning to Jalan Tun Jugah, I thought 'Yay, we were going some where away from the city'. He drove for about half an hour from Rock Road - 3rd Mile - Jalan Hospital - School road and the last was Padang Merdeka. It was only then that I repeated what he said 'Independence Palace' and only realized then that we were going to 'Merdeka Palace'. I was already shouting at him in the car.

I was super under-dressed to go into any hotel for dinner!! He said its ok but not ok for me. Darn~ I tried changing his mind to go else where for dinner but he continued to turn into Merdeka Palace parking lot. I was freaking nervous as even Sarawak Club's Hornbill restaurant has a dresscode. No slippers are even alllowed in. Sebastian was serious about going for dinner. By the time we stepped into Ristorante Beccarri, I felt so awkward.

We took a seat and I was really uncomfortable. The waitress pulled my chair for me and put the napkin on my lap. As often as I see it on the TV, I'm not use to such treatment. We took a look at the menu and I have no idea what to order. In the end, I ordered a tortelini nonna while Sebastian had a pizza. After ordering food, Sebastian asked for the wine menu. I took a look at it and no, I do not know about wine names. Haha~ In the end, he settled for something the waitress recommended.

While waiting for the food, we spent most of the time talking and I really feel like knocking his head for bringing me to such a place to eat especially when I was under-dressed. I asked him what the occasion was for cause I know that it was not his birthday. It was not my birthday. He said it was because there was about 3 times that he asked me out but he cancelled on me so add it all up would be equal to a meal in a posh place.

My tortelini was very creamy while Sebastian's pizza looks good. The white wine was just nice and it helps to neutralize my creamy tortelini. He gave me some of his pizza and I gave him a few of my tortelini. I was down to my three last piece when I knew if I was going to eat slowly, I would not be able to stand it as it was really creamy. I gave one two Sebas and tried really hard to swallow the other two. Finally, I finished and quickly gulped down the taste with the wine. Relief~ Haha..

We stayed awhile more and talked. The atmosphere was nice but the restaurant could do with better musics. I don't know what type of music was it that they were playing. After Sebas payed for the bill, we left. The Seattle Coffee place looks pack by the time we got out of the Ristorante Beccarri. We took a walk around exploring and my advice to you all, NEVER EVER TAKE THE SERVICE LIFT. Its scary and it takes you to scary dark places and also the kitchen. =P I can't imagine if a chef or kitchen helper saw us. We would have been so fried.

It was only 9.30pm so Sebas drove around town and then towards Pending and then towards Muara Tabuan. It was actually a waste of petrol. Driving around on Friday night, you sure get to see nice cars on the road. There was one very nice mercedes bens, the 2005 CLK 320 Cabriolet. It stopped right behind us at a traffic light. Once the traffic light turned green, the merz over took us and zoomed ahead. Sebas not happy, stepped on the petrol trying to catch up with the merz. It was embarassing when Sebas slowed down right next to the merz and luckily he slowed down because he saw it was an old man with his son. The ego of men~

He let me drive the Perdana around my home area. How I miss driving. Its automatic some more. As I know most of you guys say that automatic is only for whimps. I don't think so! HAha.. but it is petrol consuming. We talked and I drove. I finally got back at 11pm. Everyone was asleep except for my sister. I actually forgotten to buy Kolo Mee for my brother. Luckily, he was asleep already. =P

Better Luck

For these past few days nothing really big happen. I realized why I loved playing the piano in the first place. On Tuesday before my lesson, a violinist and pianist were practising together for a performance. It was perfect. They played beautifully with passion. The piece they played to me pictured a lady who was worried and sad. At least at the ending of the piece, the lady in my head had a happy ending. That's the beauty of instrumentals. No lyrics to tell you what's it about. You can have your own interpretation. Its like reading a book where you let your imagination take you through.

We had the usual extra class on Wednesday afternoon except without Pn. June. We had Pn. Noryana teaching us Maths instead. All lights were kept off for her notes to be projected. I was sitting next to Julian and I found out that he's isn't the guy he or I thought. I was pointing out what he was lacking of which he agreed. Ronnie was sitting in front of us most of time listening to our conversation and occasionally giving comments of his own. It was hilarious when Ronnie and I agreed that we prefer Terry to Julian. Julian was 'hurt' as he wanted to be THE wanted not the forgotten. Haha.. but it was all just for laughs. So he just took it as a joke.

Assembly on Thursday was the usual with exception to the large crowd of girls sitting across us. It seems that the new Lower 6 students has more girls than guys as it is the total opposite for our batch. Most of the girls I could recognise since most of them were from St. Teresa. Quite a big number of girls has nice dyed hair.

Although my hair now is looking bright as ever, I wish it was darker. My hair looks like its been over burnt. Some more the head girl wants me to get it dyed. I bet if I were to dye it again, my hair is as good as gone. I dyed it 3 times last year trying to make it black. By the third time, I could feel my hair as dry and stiff as the roots of a tree. I gave up on trying to get it to be black and went to see Mr. Pan. At least he was nice about it. But now the head girl is bugging about my hair. The dye won't work. Will only waste my money. Sides my hair is actually brownish too. My whole hair actually looks like one colour since its been ages since I last dyed my hair brown.

My godbrother, Caius is back from Melbourne on a holiday though I question his visit as he always complained that Kuching is a place of boredom. Some more he's alone. If he had come with his parents it wouldn't be that bad but since he's alone it would be pretty boring for him. I'm suppose to give him a 'tour' but its not like I have a car either. At times like this I wish I have a car.

Right after I got home from school after library duty yesterday, I was told to get ready in half hour to go have dinner with him and an adult couple who are my godmother's good friends. I was already tired and exhausted by the time I got home. I had to get cleaned up and rush. Luckily, I don't take such a long time to get ready. My mum had a function to go to, my bro and sis didnt wanna go.

Around 7pm, they came and we went for dinner with me asking 101 questions. Not like he gave me straight answers. I kinda learnt a thing or two from my sister when it comes to dealing with guys who just can't talk straight. I know I gave him a hard time last night. When I asked him what's his point of coming to Kuching, he answered that he came all the way to visit me. Right~ Expect me to believe that. I know him since young. I think I know how his mind works.

He had plans to go to the jungles tonight. I hope he meets his friends in the jungle, MONKEYS. He is sure to have so much fun as he would fit right in.

The holidays has started but it isn't so much as a real holiday as it seems. We are still required to go back to school for class. Plus I need to do some catching up on my own studies. So wish me luck and HAPPY GAWAI TO ALL WHO ARE CELEBRATING. Don't forget to invite me. Hehe~

Star Wars : Revenge of The Sith

Last night, I went to watch Star Wars with Mike and the rest of the gang. We had dinner at KFC near Open Air though we actually agreed to go to Open Air in the first place. Julian had bought the tickets a day earlier. So we didn't have to worry if there wasn't any seats left. Bernard and Jay Jay went for a drink at Open Air and they met Mr. Michael Toh dressed really flesh revealing as Bernard and Jay Jay had decribed to us.

After dinner, we went to Star Cineplex. It was pack with people. We were 45 minutes early. So we went downstairs for a game of pool. After two games, we went upstairs and it felt like sardines pack in a tin. The places was filled with people. There were barely space to move. Bernard was saying to walk through that crowd is to die. Haha.. Since I was holding all the tickets I had to get to the other end where the rest of the gang was. So Mike and I squeezed our way through and finally after passing through the large crowd, we got to the other side near the ticket counter.

As the crowd disappear into Cineplex 3, we joined the crowd. Our seats were on the second last row. Not too bad~ By the time we got in, they were already showing trailers of movies that are coming soon. Just to name a few;Initial D, War of The Worlds Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Batman. The trailers all looked good. Hoping to catch em' when they open in the cinema.

Star Wars : Revenge of The Sith, the last episode to the trilogy is really good. Although it was made with all the best and latest technology, it feels like the old version. They didn't spoil the effect of the old episodes. C-3PO's part was really small in this episode though. I find Yoda, the green small creature to be really cute. I don't mind having him as a stuff toy. =P

I got a little confused during the movie as I tried recalling what I've watched many years ago. I remembered watching the old Star Wars when I was in primary school. Back then it was on video tapes. Haha~ Look how fast technology grows. I wonder in 10 years time what will we be using to watch movies. Super micro disc~ Haha..

I find Anakin Skywalker cute before he turned to the dark side. To hear Ewan Mcgregor's voice as Obi Wan Kenobi is really hilarious as most of the movies I've watch him act is Down with Love and Moulin Rouge. Roles which shows him as a romantic lover not a fighter. R2-D2 is really cute too~ I find the droids actually to be nice just on the wrong side. The funniest part would be when the droid was saying 'Thank you' to General Grievous who was impolite.

Padme Amidala played by Natalie Portman was really beautiful especially when she was um... in her coffin. Seriously, I loved how they layed her hair with the pretty flowers in her hair. She looked really pretty then. Chancellor Palpatine always has that erk grin. Its not a smile. Remember the character Jar Jar Binks? I miss him. He's a really funny character in the Star Wars Episode II : Attack of The Clones.

By the time the movie ended, we all used the stairs down. It was only 4 floors down. Its better than waiting for lift and squeezing with everyone. We all hung out outside Julian's car talking bout the movie and their favourite subject, football. I wanted to try reversing Julian's car out but with everyone around made me real nervous. =p The moment I turned the engine on, Hazwan, Soffian and Bernard were rushing to get out of the car with Bernard shouting, "I'm too young to die!!" Funny but insulting my ability to drive. Haha.. I don't mind. Not that I went for proper and formal lessons.

We left the place and was heading home. Soffian was pointing at the fluorescent light on the ceiling to use it as a light saber. Haha.. =p The influence of movies~ Mike had to send Bernard and I back while Julian had to send back Jay Jay, Hazwan and Soffian home. Poor him~ I only managed to get home at 1.30am. Lucky for me, I didn't get bomb from my mum. I just realized that it has been 2 months plus since I last went out at night.

All in all, it is not a movie to be missed. Go catch it in the cinemas. Forget buying the pirated version first. Watch it with full effect, good sound system and a big screen then only get the pirated version. Hehe.. =p Last but not least, MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

Thunderstorm

Remember the heavy rain and lightnings on Sunday afternoon? Well, I was asleep half way through and when I woke up I saw that the road outside my house was flooded. Not that high but the drains were all full. The lightning and thunder was scary. I thought that if I don't on the computer or go online, everything would be fine. An hour after all the rain, I went downstairs and on the computer. I couldn't connect and I tried reconnecting. After awhile I realized that the power light for the modem isn't on. I unplugged and plugged the USB connections but still it didn't work. Made a call asking people about modems and stuff. Turns out my modem got fried. *Sadness*

I couldn't go online for 2 days. I thought I would not be able to online for a couple of weeks but turns out my mum needs the modem ASAP so we got a new one yesterday. Aztech. It was cheaper than I expected. I thought it was most probably cost about RM200++. After getting the modem we went to fetch my brother from the airport. He just got back from his National Service. He still looks the same to me. I will need some time to get use to him being around and soon I will have to get use to having my sister around too. Everyone's coming back. I was getting a little cozy being at home myself. =P

On Monday, we had Teachers' Day celebration. It was um... same old old.. Nothing new or exciting but I actually enjoyed the fighting scenes performed by the Taekwondo Team. Alayne sure can kick ass!~! The way the kick, punch, hit and fall were so cool. The scenario they gave was good enough for the fights. Hehe.. The singing performance were nothing nice. Wasn't impressed. After the celebration, prefects had a meeting in the auditorium. It was about our retirement trip. Looks like we are going to Damai. Elder suggested Miri but its just far and I don't think there is much in Miri. I prefer the beach where I can walk along the beach, watch the waves and enjoy the breeze. I wouldn't mind to even stay in the hotel room enjoying the air-cond and maybe play cards with a bunch of friends. It will be a 3 days, 2 nights stay. Hope it will be fun~!

As for Pn. June, to show that she is really a dedicated teacher she just had to give a test on Teachers' Day. We had to stay back and take a test on Organic Chemistry. Before the test, Ronnie and Ivor asked Jason and I to join for brunch at Spring Cafe. I didn't eat though. Only had a drink. We got back to school but before going for my test, I had a fight with Sean.

He's a good punching bag. Hehe~ The only thing sad about it is that he doesn't feel pain. No matter how hard I hit him or kick him, he doesn't feel the pain. *Too MACHO* He always says things which is quite insulting although he means it in a joking matter. I was beating him up trying to kick him and pinch him. He was asking for help from Jason and Yew King. Jason pretending to inject tranquilizer on my arm while Yew King was punching my head. Stupid~ There was a time out though Sean was still grabbing my hands. He was asking if Yew King really punched my head. Hilarious~! After that moment of concern, we continued to fight though I was on the losing end. Yew King were taking pictures. Hrmp~ Realizing that I was late for test. I broke free and went off to AVA for my test. I was sweating hot and the lousy air-cond in the AVA wasn't working.

Test was um.. Horibble but ok. How should I put it? At least I could answer something. Hehe.. After school, Sean was still in school sitting outside the clinic. His fingers were bandaged and I thought I was the one who caused it. Was feeling sorry already but he said it was because he punched the wood. Stupid~ but good at least it wasn't me who caused it. Haha..

The Lower 6 students came in yesterday. The girls were all so familiar. Most or all were from St Teresa. Some came with really blond hair or strikes of blond. I can see a few familiar boys too. I can only say one thing on some of those girls. RUDE~ One of the few disappointments of St Teresa students.

Anyways, I should stop now. I need to do more things before my afternoon fades away~

Sleepless Nights

I'll run by what went on during the past week. Monday we had Physics Tests which as usual I only studied the night before. I actually forgotten about the test until Saturday morning when Julian asked me if I have studied. =( I actually forgotten bout it!! Argh.. Well it didn't go too bad since I did understand only a bit of 'Alternating Current'. Though I should knock my head for not being able to answer some bonus questions. If only I knew how to apply the formulas.

I had my MUET speaking test on Tuesday. Went to school with Feli and then we went to have breakfast with Ronnie, Leonard and Cadney. I had 'Mee Sua'. I like the mushroom and the texture of the noodle. The only thing I remembered about MUET speaking is that I couldn't remember what I said be it TASK A or TASK B. The moment I step out the door I asked Ratchell what I said and she couldn't remember either. Went for my piano lesson in the afternoon and to my amazement I actually could play my pieces nicely although a few stops but it was better than my other lessons for the past 3 months. Haha.. Well, I don't practice enough anyways. Am going to stop my piano lesson starting next month til after STPM.

On Thursday, Mike came to pick me up at 6.30am. He waited til 6.45am and still I didn't come out. He called and it turns out I just woke up. I turned off my alarm clock and went back to sleep. I rushed like mad and was out 5 minutes later. I kept saying sorry. I felt so bad but Mike was laughing at me instead. Hrmp~ By the time we got to school, there were no more parking in school and we had to park at Telekom. By the time we got to the school gate, we were already late. Mike was late for his duty. Felt so horrible~

I barely had enough sleep the whole week cause I was 'working' for my mum. Endless things to type and here I am doing more typing. There was at one time that I was reading the document, typing it out, chatting, and singing to songs. I had no idea what I was typing. I just type every word I saw. Haha.. Luckily, there were not much mistakes.

The weekend is here and I know I'll be in a tired state by next week since we are having tests. Argh~ Annoying~ Every week already got test. I envy those who can go out and have a night life. Anyways, I should stop here. Bye Bye, Take care.

Cut

I've been sleeping for hours since yesterday. I remembered sleeping in church even while I was standing up. I was too tired, I guess. By the time I got home I fell asleep on my bed listening to songs on my discman. My mum woke me up to have dinner. After dinner, I fell asleep again on the couch while watching the Grand Final for Audition 2. I woke up from time to time. By the time I actually jump up from my sleep was 11.30pm. I just realized that I have not taken my bath even. So I went to take a quick bath and was thinking I would not go to sleep again. But after a phone call, a few messages, I fell asleep again~

I woke up at 10am. I was thinking of getting a few things done such as studying. At around 1 or 2pm I fell asleep again til 5pm. Argh~ Sleeping on the floor isn't so comfortable but I seem to have slept there for at least 3 hours. So much for studying. My mum kept coming in to wake me up. Sleeping is a big disease for me. My mum says she sees me sleeping more often than me studying which is super true. The moment I try to study, I would fall asleep. Darn~

I shall try to avoid lying down on my comfy bed, couch or the floor for that matter to study. The weather is also one of the factor that makes me so sleepy. If it was super hot, I would certainly don't have the mood to sleep either. Maybe I should not stay at home if I want to study. I doubt I would sleep if I was in public places.

I did something which I find a bit silly just awhile ago. Well, normally I give my hair a trim myself from time to time. Besides, my hair is so curly and layered that you wouldn't be able to tell if I did cut my hair or not. Well, I cut about 6 inches of hair off just now. Only after I had the bunch of hair in my hand that I realized. *oops* Hehe.. But my head now seems lighter a bit. Hehe.. The cut isn't that obvious unless um.. hehe.. ain't gonna tell.. its better if no one sees it.

I just realise that it took one whole year for my hair to grow out 7 inches of hair and I just cut off 6 inches off. Sadness. Haha.. This would mean I won't cut my hair anytime soon. I'll just let it grow for the time being.

I bet my mum wouldn't even to notice the difference. Hehe.. I normally cut my own hair without her knowing. No one trust me to cut their hair so I like experimenting my own. Haha.. I miss my fully perm head. Now my hair is only half permed. Sadness~ and soon I'm sure to have to cut the curls off too. By then I would want to get another perm. Hehe.. I dislike my limp and straight hair which I use to have.

Today is the beginning of my hectic days and will only end by Wednesday. There maybe a chance of me not going to school. Get a day off but its not like its going to be holiday for me. Will be spending most of my time working anyways. Let's hope this time it will not be as torturous as before. I think I'm super prepared for it since I've slept through my weekend. So I would be able to stay awake without sleep for a day plus but I just did that last week. Darn~ Its no wonder why I keep falling asleep.

I should go now. I better get some proper work done.
