Recently, I went to try the special Saturday Night BBQ buffet dinner at Palm HIll Cafe, Putrajaya Shangri-La Hotel with MHB! It's been quite awhile since I last hung out with the girls. Life has just gotten pretty busy. I guess that's what growing up does to people.
Some background on Palm Hill Cafe. It serves both Malaysian and International cuisines and has open kitchen showcases where you can watch the chefs cook live. The buffet line was amazing! You get the salad bar, western stuff, local cuisine, the cold appetizers, desserts and a BBQ line outside at the garden.
The cafe has a great ambience for a quiet dinner in. It's spacious, simple yet elegant. No having to squeeze around to get food at the buffet line. Lighting was good enough for me to at least look at my food for what it really looks like. =P
Some cold food as your appetizers? Blanched New Zealand Green Mussel, Steamed Tiger Prawns, Fresh Oysters, Smoked Salmon with assorted cheese, Grissini stick, Melba Toast, Focaccia Bread, Panini Bread and more! I love dishes that are refreshing! Great for salads. =P And then of course, you have your local dishes and western dishes here.

Of course the highlight of the menu is definitely the BBQ buffet dinner. With the BBQ station right outside the restaurant, we were able to still sit comfortably indoors without having to come out smelling like BBQ! Though, you must know that getting your hands slightly dirty is part of the requirement here.
